I have taken my Tacoma in multiple times due to it having issues. It has turned off on us while driving on the highway and the brakes locked up, causing everyone behind us to slam on their brakes to avoid hi issues. It has turned off on us while driving on the highway and the brakes locked up, causing everyone behind us to slam on their brakes to avoid hitting us. Multiple times we couldn’t get it to start. We had to open and close the doors multiple times. Hold down the brake and push the start button multiple times. We pushed the unlock doors button multiple times. Just to get it to start 10 minutes later. We had to have it jumped one time to get it to start. The alarm went off out of nowhere after unlocking the doors and getting in the truck. The main screen for the radio and navigation wouldn’t turn on. It was pitch black even after pushing the on button multiple times. I even drove straight to the Toyota service dept, and showed them the screen is black and won’t turn on. They didn’t take any pics or video of it. Instead, they said when they turned the vehicle back on they couldn’t duplicate the issue. Every time I’ve taken it in they say they can’t duplicate the issue, and they don’t see any error codes in the truck log. I’m terrified that this truck is going to hurt or kill someone because of what seems to be major vehicle issues. They keep telling me to bring it back the next time I have an issue, but nothing is being resolved. A vehicle should not turn off while driving 65 miles per hour on a highway, and lock the brakes. My husband and I could’ve been hurt or killed when this happened. I need someone at Toyota to take a serious look at this vehicle and do something about it. I’m very disappointed with the service dept at Toyota. More
