Looking for a first car, employees seem to think I'm rich. I am in the market currently to lease a brand new car, as my first car. I've driven a Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Nissan Sentra, Kia Forte and Mazda I am in the market currently to lease a brand new car, as my first car. I've driven a Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Nissan Sentra, Kia Forte and Mazda 3. Just yesterday I went to this dealership to drive a 2015 Dart. I had called and made an appointment. I then discovered a dealer closer to me had way better pricing than they did, so I went there. I called and cancelled and the receptionist (Chris) seemed like I was inconveniencing the entire sales team. He didn't even say good bye or anything other than ok, he just hung up. When I got to the other dealer, they were closed so I decided to go to Canandaigua anyway. When I got there, he seemed annoyed that I showed up and kept saying "Well I had someone scheduled to be with him, but then he called and cancelled so I told them never mind." He repeated this a few times. Once I finally got the salesman (after having to give them all my information so they could track me down if they didn't make the sale) they took me to the complete wrong car, I told them exactly what car I wanted and they still brought me to the wrong one. I went on the test drive and it wowed me. I loved the car (salesman didn't seem to know much about it) but I had researched already. When we go back, I told them that IDE Honda had given me a quote for $189 a month for a civic se (this isn't a lie, they actually did). Kurt (the salesman) went back to find the car I wanted. I told him exactly what I wanted (a 2015 Dart SXT Rallye in white with a few packages in the 6-spd manual). He came back saying he had found the car 136 miles away. This car wasn't even relevant to the one I wanted. It didn't have the Rallye package and it didn't have the convenience package. Both things I said that I wanted. When I told him this he tried to go find it again. My dad and I told him not to worry because we didn't have much time and we weren't doing anything that day anyway. He went back to get estimates for e lease payment. Just then, the woman in the booth next to us was haggling on a price too. They sent out an extremely rude and nasty woman to talk to her. The woman who was buying the car was older. She said she couldn't afford the payment, and the rude woman started arguing with her saying "so these features aren't worth an extra dollar a day to you?" After the nasty woman had finished her argument the older woman walked out, I couldn't blame her. The nasty woman was making faces and expressions. We left to go to lunch and came back. I was quoted $392 a month for a 3 year lease for a car that is barely over $20000, and this is with 1000 down. How ridiculous! I will not be working with this dealer in the future again. They are crooks looking to get money and not find what car is best for you. One thing I can say is that Kurt was very friendly up until he told me the payment. If you do decide to use this dealer use Kurt. Just beware of the tricks! More

They sell cars that have problems that should be fixed before selling or leasing them. They do not. I bought a Trail Blazer on 4/8/2015, when I got home I noticed the rear wiper and the gas gage did not work, also the check engine light came on, and the battery for the keys were dead. I called them the next day, hoping they would fix the problems. I was told that nothing was under warrenty. The car had only 89000 miles on it. I E-mailed them in hopes of a response other than” nothing was under warrenty.” They did E-mail back. Several people in fact, all telling me this was not their field and they could not help. Finally Dick Clark called me back. Again I was told he was not the correct person to speak with. One more person I had to speak with, the used car manager. I told him about the problems that should have been fixed before a customer ever got in the car and he told me it was not his problem, or the right department. I never got the problems resolved so BUYER BEWARE!! Do not purchase or lease a vehicle from these guys. They don’t care at all for their customers or stand behind their vehicles. More

I was impressed first of all by the fact that there is a "Friends and Family" discount at the dealership. The salespeople do not work on commission. There very little negotiation or hassle. Everyone there was very friendly. My sales representative was Devan Farnes. Devon is a very fine young man with great potential. First of all he is polite and courteous and makes an extra effort to help. He communicates honestly with no pressure. If he doesn't have an answer to your question he finds out and gets back to you. He makes the buying experience a very comfortable one. On the very first day Devon took me around and introduced me to everyone and once I received the vehicle he spent a lot of time with me going over its operation. I have called him a number of times since the vehicle has been purchased and he has always returned my phone calls and answered my questions. Financing was easy with Laura Thomas (sales manager). She also is very nice and she found me a low rate with a reputable bank. Overall a very pleasant experience. Thank you. More

Purchased a used Wrangler from Devan Farnes/Canandaigua Jeep I had been shopping for used Wranglers for less than a month. Canandaigua Jeep had the model that met all my criteria: Black / Hardtop / Standard Tra I had been shopping for used Wranglers for less than a month. Canandaigua Jeep had the model that met all my criteria: Black / Hardtop / Standard Trans / Low Miles. I met Devan Farnes in the parking lot and he showed me the vehicle. He got the keys and a plate and within 10 minutes I was test driving. The Wrangler looked brand new inside and out! It rode very smooth - I was impressed! The test drive was very pleasant and productive. Devan was quite informative about the vehicle as he showed me all the features. Overall the test drive was an enjoyable experience because it was a very relaxed, low pressure setting. I had let a few other Wranglers slip away because of my inactivity so I decided to be more proactive with this particular vehicle. I did not see or hear anything that would dissuade me from purchasing the vehicle. My wife and I had purchased 3 other vehicles from this dealer since 1999 and had a positive overall experience each time. So, after getting my wife's blessings I decided to make the purchase. We took care of the paperwork that afternoon and I picked up my Wrangler the following day. I was pleased with the financing obtained and would have to say that I actually enjoyed the buying experience. I have been back to the dealer once for a covered service issue with a tire pressure sensor and was back out the door before finishing my cup of coffee! Devan was a pleasure to work with and I wish him continued success in the future! More

Devon was very helpful in choosing my Jeep Wrangler, and equipping it with the options of my choice and still keeping the price and financing in a range which my financial situation would allow. Devon was great, he never pushed anything on me that would not be beneficial to me. he really listened to me and worked within my stipulations to get me the vehicle that I wanted. And I appreciated that very much I have recommended Canandaigua Chrysler Dodge Jeep to many people and I will continue to do that whenever I can, but now I will recommend Devon as well. It was great working with Devon and getting to know him. He has a wealth of knowledge about what he is selling, and he is good at listening to his customer. Devon also follows up with his customers after the sale and makes sure that they are happy with their purchase, and that all their questions get answered. When I arrived at the dealership I was greeted by zak. I came in to look at a Grand Caravan and i was pushed towards the ram trucks as this seemed to be his strong point. He kept on trying to push a truck as it CAN fit 3 kids just fine. Obviously this salesman has ever driven any distance with 3 kids in the backseat right next to each other. After i tried to leave he told me to hang on and I waited another 10 minutes while I waited for him to return. When he came back he had mark with him who finally at this point tried to get us to look at a Grand Caravan. I would not recommend this dealer as they seem out of touch with the car buying experience even though it's their profession.Bottom line: Pushy sales team who only care about the sale not about finding you the right car... The car buying experience was amazing. We first used their website to look into the minivans that they had in stock. My wife emailed them to me and I was able to view them on my smart phone. I went right in and talked to James about seeing what I could get for a trade. They were able to work it out to be more than what I owed so I picked up the new van an hour and a half later. Was the fastest and smoothest transaction I have ever done and I have purchased or leased four cars. More
I came in looking to see a new 200. Was greeted by a young salesman named Zach. Seemed to be new and did not know the product so he was helped by mark. I have a pretty new (within 5 model year) trade in with less than 60,000 miles and they offered me $2,100 in trade! Tried to convince me it had a head gasket blown and had multiple fluid leaks. What a bunch of crap, the vehicle runs great and has NO problems at all. So then the manager tod came over and told me he would take it to the shop to check it out, 20 minutes later he comes back saying the car is missing fluid that WAS in the radiator. The car was checked by my mechanic 2 days earlier and now they are telling me my 57k mile vehicle has vanishing fluid. What a crock, ill bet they drained my coolant to try to steal my trade! Tod is a liar, not to mention an idiot. Very rude and obviously has no experience in customer service. Anybody with a brain knows the customer is right no matter what. Zach was nice but did not know what he was talking about, and mark was a little too in my face. Tried to get me to leave a deposit on a new car when I had not even chose a car I wanted. This stealership will do anything to steal your trade and then push you and push you until you either leave or buy a car. They try to confuse you into saying yes. I went to Doan instead of this dump. Much nicer facility and sales people. Do not buy here if you want a quality experience. If you have to go here watch out when tod comes over, he will lie about your trade and degrade its value. Go elsewhere, don't buy here. More
