Capital Chevrolet - Service Center

I had a 10:00 am appointment to change my oil and a tire rotation. I arrived at 9:50 am. They took my car back to the service bay area and I thought,"gee,is going to be ok". I looked through the open doors rotation. I arrived at 9:50 am. They took my car back to the service bay area and I thought,"gee,is going to be ok". I looked through the open doors in the building an hour later and saw them pulling my car into a bay for service! An hour later I checked with my service advisor and he went back and came back and told me that they were finishing up the tire rotation. 2 1/2 hours after arriving they pulled my car to the completion area. I waited 15 minutes and no one came to tell me my car was ready I went to the service desk and asked where my advisor was and was told he went to lunch. I am 72 years old and have had many cars and trucks,many bought from Mr. Michael,the owner of Capital Auto! I have never been more disappointed in a dealership or service department!! More

Capital Chevrolet performed an oil change and for the following days i noticed oil puddles on my driveway and garage floor. I started the auto at my home and heard an engine knock. I raised the hood to inspect and found the oil fill cap had not been reinstalled. The entire engine compartment was soaked in oil and the dipstick wasn't on the dipstick. I immediately filled the oil to proper level and took the auto to Capital Chevrolet. The service dept. was not caring and after I insisted they clean it up they took the auto and power washed the engine. 1 1/2 hours later I find it sitting outside unattended where I lifted the hood and found it wet but still with oil in every crevace and surface. I asked for the service mgmt. and he never said sorry for it happening or for the poor cleaning. I asked to schedule a more detailed cleaning redo and for a loaner. They seemed put out but finally committed to call me when a loaner was available to have the work done. They never called! Following that experience I would never have a car serviced at that dealership and certainly would never buy a car from them. More

This place sucks!! I wouldn't buy another car from this dealership if it was the last place on Earth to get one. I had a positive experience with a purchase about 6 mon I wouldn't buy another car from this dealership if it was the last place on Earth to get one. I had a positive experience with a purchase about 6 months ago of a used car from them. So, then I needed another car, I returned to Capital in July. The one that was listed was in Greensboro. I was told it could be transferred to Raleigh the next day. Now, short story. I drove the car down the road about a MILE and noticed the strong pull to the right as did the previous customer on their car. I returned immediately...thought it was alignment. The tech didn't work on Saturdays, so I was told to bring it back, which I did. They did the alignment, but said it didn't need it. They didn't even look to see what the problem COULD be. The salesman Chas refused to drive it. I could have had a wreck with it because I took it to another dealer and they easily told me what the problem was. I could have written the whole review submitted by the previous customer, because the exact same thing happened to me I know the car was used...an older model, but it had only 82,700 miles on it. Now the paint is chipping off of it. Yes, it was "as is". But, I thought that these problems would have been pointed out to me presale, or at least, taken care of immediately, no questions asked. I paid cash!! I do love the car otherwise. Now, I have to shell out more money that I don't have to fix these problems. Hope everyone reads this including Capital Chev!! More
