My pregnant wife and 2 year old were with me and we had the goal of quickly learning about the particular vehicle we were interested in, so that we could make a purchasing decision. This listed price on the internet was $26,888. I understand that tax "6.25%, title, dealer fees etc.." are not included in this estimate. A reasonable estimate for a walk away price was $30k ish. Ahead of them providing you more honest numbers, they require a signature to commit to make a decision and a test drive. All of this before coming back and adding fees and your true walk out the door price. The salesman came back with a total of $43,000. We got up to leave, but then proceeded to have to do the song and dance of them walking out the door. Sitting in a break room for 20 minutes at a time, before coming back to us with different figures. This tactic was not appreciated by my pregnant wife or hungry 2 year old. We simply wanted honest answers. Our salesman then told us a 100% lie. He said that the reason the price was higher is that new tires had been added and many other repairs to make the car safe. "The safety of the car is what is most important to us". His exact words. It's my fault for taking him at his word around the new tires and getting so caught up in fighting for a true price that I lost the sensibility to verify the information being given to me. The truth is that the car had 3 tires of one brand and 1 very worn down tire of an entirely different brand. They are 100% not "brand new tires" something I verified that he was telling me to double check. After not getting anywhere with this salesmen, a manager was brought in. He was nice and understanding that I was not going to pay a price that wasn't fair. He came all the way down to the end purchase price of $30,750. My only complaint here is that it took 4 hours to arrive at the true honest price for this car. Additionally, after getting this car on the road we noticed a very violent shaking in the car once it reached speeds of 65mph. After looking at the tires, I realized that I had been hustled. That's fine it's part of doing business with a place of low character. I purchased 4 new tires and unfortunately, the car still shakes at 65mph. The car safety was clearly not part of this car's inspection. My overall opinion of this dealership is that if you value your time and honesty. I would encourage you to avoid doing business here. We have called and tried to receive further help, but have not received it so far. More
