The brakes on the vehicle I purchased needed new rotors. I took the vehicle back to CarMax after driving it for a day and told the service department the brakes were making a grinding noise. The car I purchased was inspected by the service department and they told me that brakes sometimes sound like that. Fortunately, this was not my first day as a human, so I took the vehicle to an auto shop and they identified that I needed new rotors. This is the second issues I have had with CarMax regarding a vehicle that was shipped. The first issue was on a vehicle I purchased in May. The sunroof did not work, and they have yet to contact me about fixing it. Their 125 point inspection is not happening. More
It was good while we were looking and test driving different cars. But after we decided on one to purchase things went down hill. Michael, our salesman, needs to WORK ON HIS CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. We came back to finish and pick up our Rogue but Michale did not understand we wanted to keep our car plus the tag. We didn’t want a new tag. The paperwork had to be redone so that ment another trip for is to make. That in itself wasn’t upsetting, it was the way Michael handles (body language and tone/choice of words) that we couldn’t come back until the next day. When we got there the next morning he was waiting on us, brought us in and rushed through the paperwork and sent us to the business office. When we finished there we felt rushed to the car, quick picture taken of us with the car, bay door opened and he said goodbye. HE DID NOT EVER EXPLAIN HOW TO OPERATE THE CAR OR ANY OF THE BASIC THINGS TO KNOW TO DRIVE IT OFF THE LOT!!!! The parking break was on and we had no clue why the car would only run slow and not shift gears. We FINALLY figured it out but it was about 3 to 4 blocks later in a parking lot. It would have been nice to have things explained to begin with. We can’t say it was a good experience in the end. More
