Was greeted and told that there had been a computer glitch... this glitch was in effect for over 2 days by my calculation. What I suspect happened is the vehicle was sold out from under me. What adds insult to injury is that the person that greeted us was going to look for another. I asked that they please send the list to my email. Additionally, the sales person never called back to apologies. Or make any attempt to save a sales opportunity. I had financing all lined up and was ready post test drive purchase. I can only surmises that CarMax has to many customers. I've purchased and/or influenced the purchase of 15+ vehicles from CarMax. Things sure have changed in 4 years. This email is more of a vent, as I am more than convinced that no one cares for the customer experience at CarMax. Kind regards, More

Fabulous car dealership I bought a Lexus hybrid for my son and he outgrew it on 6 months as he grew up to 6'4" so I had to trade it in. Went to Carmax Orlando and I got a fabulous deal from Eliot because I was a previous cusomer I got $3,000 more than book price. Traded in for a Mitsubishi Lancer for $15k and GOT A CHECK FOR $600 after trade in and this new car has a 5 year warranty!!!! Look nowhere else. CARMAX IS THE BEST. More

CARMAX EMPLOYEES ARE ALL LIARS I had the worst experience with the Irving, Texas CARMAX. I requested a car be transferred from a Mississippi CARMAX location to Irving, Texas to test I had the worst experience with the Irving, Texas CARMAX. I requested a car be transferred from a Mississippi CARMAX location to Irving, Texas to test drive. Before paying for shipping I requested a walk around report for any smells or damages the car may have before the car was shipped. They said there were no damages and no smells and shipped the car $249. When it arrived I requested a test drive and when I opened the door there was a mildew smell. I complained and they refunded the transfer fee. Since the car had a bad odor I found a 2nd car I wanted. 3 different sales people told me they had to run my credit again, if I receive several hard inquiries on my credit report they could consolidate it to 1, I purchased the car but just found out I have 7 hard inquiries on my credit now from the experience. I called to receive help with this and no one wanted to take responsibility for this. I do not recommend CARMAX ever again to anyone and I refuse to ever go to them ever again to buy a vehicle. More

Two weeks ago, I bought a 2013 640IL with 49k miles - no test drive, no one showed my how the car works, they forgot to put my license plate on the Two weeks ago, I bought a 2013 640IL with 49k miles - no test drive, no one showed my how the car works, they forgot to put my license plate on the car after I bought it (I WAS SO EXCITED TO BUY THIS CAR- MY DREAM CAR, THAT I OVERLOOKED THIS STUFF) SO... the engine light is already on ( i have only had the car for 2 weeks, the computer screen is almost faded to where you cannot see it, the doors don't all unlock - sometimes they do sometimes they don't, it sounds like a truck going down the road (like a buzzing noise- probably the wheel bearings) and I had to put fix o flat in the drivers side rear wheel, which probably is not CARMAX fault. What concerns me the most is the LOW OIL light! LIKE HOW after driving a car that was SUPPOSEDLY looked through and examined thoroughly, for only 1k miles already LOW ON OIL ?? I just called Karen in service, and I am taking the car in Wednesday at 10:30 AM to address this stuff. I will update this and other reviews when my dream car is fixed. NOW WE ARE STILL A ONE STAR I met with Brenden today- and he is actively addressing the issues and will get back to me today about the status of my baby. I brought them all donuts and coffee- the whole service department as a gesture of good faith. THEY DID NOT EVEN LOOK AT MY CAR ALL DAY! I purchased a vehicle from Carmax and the same day, it began to have issues. They obviously do not have full safety checks- the vehicle was shaking. Crooked Carmax Dealers "Daisha Daniels" Buyers Beware! Found a car online and called the carmax # to have the car delivered from Illinois to Ma for test drive and purchase. I understood that the $249 delivery fee did not commit me to buy the car and that it was non refundable if I didn't. Fine I thought, small price to pay on a $38k car purchase if stuff went wrong. So after 3 weeks the car gets delivered to car max in Ma. and Daisha Daniels from Carmax calls to set up the test drive, trade in, purchase, ect. I keep asking for a final invoice $ amount on the sale, as I have to get a bank certified check for purchase. ( I'm driving 100 miles to Carmax so want to do everything in one shot ) So the emailed invoice now says the car purchase price is $40k not the original $38k. ( Carmax no hassle price lol ) And no, it's not taxes & fees, that was another $2500 bringing it to $42.5k. This was a bait & switch. Promise them one thing and give them something else. Daisha Daniels claims Carmax never listed the car @$38k and asks if I have a screenshot of the original listing. She never explains why Carmax took the price off the listing when the car was being delivered. and implies that I am confused. Now come on folks, if you are spending tens of thousands of dollars on a car, don't you think you would know the price of the car? I did call my insurance agent finding out how much my new insurance rate would be based on a $38k car. Before I had the car Shipped to Ma,, I ran a carfax report for history & price comparison @ $38k. Carfax says the car isn't worth $40k. Why would I have it shipped then for $247. Don't believe their advertised price.. And if you do get a car shipped for a test drive, get the price in writing first. And if they give it to you on an invoice, it must be signed by them on the bottom or it's not valid. Better yet, do yourself a favor, don't shop at Carmax. More

paid $11300 for a car. 4 months later was totaled for $7000 I guess I trusted I was getting a good deal. I bought this for my boy and he loved the car. Now Carmax gets the the money for the car, said they are going to take the car from us and on top of that we still owe 5000. Now my boy is out of a car and has no money to buy another one. If I could rate with no stars I would but thats not an option. I bought a car on Saturday and it was pouring oil on Sunday. Worst experience ever. I’m stuck with a car that has issues or I can return and take the chance on buying another faulty car from them. More
