I purchased MBZ GLA for my wife, I am in the automotive industry and asked if the dealer would accept offer which was an offset $500.00. The saleswomen scoffed at me took my info and tossed it. I had found industry and asked if the dealer would accept offer which was an offset $500.00. The saleswomen scoffed at me took my info and tossed it. I had found the same vehicle even cheaper but farther down south and we live in NorCal. I recieved a message telling me the would not entertain nor review my offer. The price stood. I came to the store following day no questions asked and purchased the vehicle out right in full without even a roadtest. That being said is where I would fault the store core value. I personally would have accepted the offer and written off the $500. Reason being is you now have a vehicle off your lot paid in full but a 1 time customer and sale. This is the problem with a store such as CarMax, if they had accepted my offer and absorbed the $500 they would have a lifetime customer as well as family and friends and additional purchases. As for now I just purchase another vehicle from Ford store down the street even though CarMax had same vehicle in inventory. I'm sure they could have had absorbed through promotion, used cars recon could have absorbed, Sales could have absorbed, slush fund could have absorbed but unfortunately they were not willing to entertain absorbing $500 and or meeting halfway. Anyhow I own the vehicle and sadly will be the 1st and only time doing business with CarMax. More
