Once the paperwork is signed, don’t expect honesty, accountability, or reliable support.I purchased a Volvo XC60 repeatedly assured the vehicle had “no issues” and that everything in the service report had been addressed. That could not have been further from the truth. From the moment the car arrived, problems started immediately. The steering wheel controls didn’t work, warning lights flooded the dashboard, the AC and heated seats didn’t work, the car shook while driving, and the windshield repair they claimed was fixed was still clearly visible. So, either their mechanics are stupid or they knew the car did in fact have issues, but just wanted to make the sale. Then came the endless excuses. I was advised to wait on reporting some of the problems because a faulty module could supposedly cause weird electrical issues and replacing it would likely fix everything. It didn’t. After that, salesman Shawn Bowers blamed ME for not reporting the issues sooner despite me following the exact guidance I was given. This has spanned from Feb to late May. Since buying this vehicle, I’ve now spent an additional $3,768.41 out of pocket, even after the partial reimbursement they eventually sent me over a month later. Most recently, I had to install a new battery for another $466 because the car is now stalling and revving at idle. Even that repair comes with no guarantee it will solve the issue. Dealing with Shawn Bowers has been a nightmare. He is nearly impossible to reach and always has another excuse: he’s sick, too busy, lost his phone, dealing with family issues, etc. He even blamed me for not purchasing a warranty and was annoyed I called him on a Wednesday bc apparently I should know that's his day off. The last conversation I had with him involved him trying to play the “good guy,” promising he’d help with repair costs and would call me once he got settled into his office. That was over a week ago. No call. No follow-up. Nothing. This entire experience has caused my family an unbelievable amount of stress, wasted time, and financial burden. More
