Teresa Moore 4 reviews a week ago NEW I have had few bad encounters with Carlock Toyota service department. 1)one of the service rep tried to rob me out of additional $500 for tires I purchased June 2023, but fortunately for I had gotten a previous price quote from a different service rep. Then I got a lame excuse that it was a mistake on the computer and honored the original price I was quoted. A good thing I wrote down the original service rep name and price because I would have had to pay that additional $500.00. 2)On top of that I had my niece pick up car after paid for the tires over the phone, I didn't get a receipt or documentation of the warranty for my tires. I called and asked for the warranty info and was told he didn't have any info to provide me. This wasn't my first time buying tires for my SUV, but my first time with this dealership. All 4 of my tire rims have gashes in them since my tires were installed. 3) you can see my attachment of my recent encounter with Carlock Toyota service department. I brought my SUV in because my tire light was on. There was a nail in one of my tires. It was repaired, but in the process the service rep took it upon himself to do an oil change without talking or asking me. I found out when I was paying for the nail in my tire...oh by the way the oil change will be $95. I told him I didn't ask you to do an oil change, nor did we discuss an oil change. I should have refused to pay, but I did anyways. 4) During the same visit of having my tire repaired I was told my battery have weak cells and I will need a new battery soon. I told the service rep I just bought a battery from Carlock Toyota 12 months prior. There's no way I should need a new battery, besides I might drive my car 3 to 4 days out of a week around the city. Then his excuse was that's probably why because you aren't driving you SUV often is the reasons for the dead cells. I won't be returning to Carlock Toyota. I had the most pleasant car buying experience, not the first day but, I went back the next day and said I WANT HER!!!! Miss Debbie Flood! Because, the day before knowing that I wanted another Toyota went first day but, I went back the next day and said I WANT HER!!!! Miss Debbie Flood! Because, the day before knowing that I wanted another Toyota went to Carlock Toyota in Saltillo Mississippi and was met immediately but a salesman and his shadow, student salesman, but they couldn't answer the simplest questions didn't know a Corolla from a Camry etc etc etc. When Miss Flood walked by and immediately heard our conversation and answered all of my questions while looking for her customer! She was very knowledgeable and helped me from day one get the exact car I wanted at the right price even texting me in the evenings when I had questions. It only took about 3 to 4 days to finalize the sale and I've been delighted ever since. More
The salesman was very very pushy and racked up over 2k of maintenance charges that I "needed". I agreed to one of them and ended up having to wait over three hours for the service to be done, which I hadn't maintenance charges that I "needed". I realized I had a coupon to my email and approached a man sitting at a desk to ask about how to use it. He didn't seem at all interested in answering my questions and told me to use it when I was about to pay, so I did. The salesman overseeing my services was visibly angered when I told him about the coupon and went on a five minute tirade about how I should have showed it to him when I first arrived and about how he hated coupons because they were taking money out of his pocket. This was after I, the customer, just spent almost 15 times the amount of cash that I anticipated to spend and had to spend 2 hours longer than anticipated waiting. Unless your car is under warranty, avoid this place at all costs. More

After telling this to the salesman he gets the manager to come out and be even more pushy. The way we were spoken to was disrespectful and unprofessional. More

However, they jacked up the price $7,000, saying the marketplace value went up since they updated the online price THE DAY BEFORE. How does the marketplace value jump 7k overnight?? They refused to tell us our interest rate or let us talk to a financial person. They were outright jerks. We were approved, even with the 7k increase, but the lack of transparency and unwillingness to answer any questions felt really scammy. Why would anyone sign a legal, binding contract agreeing to pay something when they don't even know the terms or interest rate? Go somewhere else. This place just wants to screw you over. More
