The buying process was easy enough. Actually getting your purchase is another story. They have now rescheduled 5 times!! That's 5 wasted vacation days off of work for me. A full freakin Actually getting your purchase is another story. They have now rescheduled 5 times!! That's 5 wasted vacation days off of work for me. A full freaking week!! Their idea of compensation is $250.00 and only if I decide to keep the vehicle if it ever even gets delivered. Waiting on them has cost me 5 times that already. Go to your local dealer or Carmax for online purchases. Carvana is a scam!! Stay away!! More

DO NOT BUY FROM CARVANA! I realize the title is an absolute. Let me explain why I used the title. On Jan 28th we traded a vehicle and purchased a vehicle from CARVANA. Th I realize the title is an absolute. Let me explain why I used the title. On Jan 28th we traded a vehicle and purchased a vehicle from CARVANA. This was our 11th purchase with them since they started. We have been loyal and until this last purchase have been impressed with their support, the compassion and professionalism of the people we have worked with. I would go as far to say some have been stellar and very impressive relative to solving problems and challenges over the years. This all changed on January 28, 2022. The Jan 28th 2022 purchase put an end to our long-standing impression of the company. A couple facts: 1. Vehicle they delivered was leaking oil and needed $10,628 of work and wasn’t safe to drive. 2. Our trade has still not been paid off after 50 days. 3. We attempted to replace the initial purchase with 3 other vehicles which all made it to the hub and the day of delivery and hours before the scheduled delivery time we would receive a text letting us know the vehicles were undeliverable. From engine lights, strange screeching noises, brakes not working, to we don’t know what’s wrong but we have to get something fixed. We tried! We tried hard. Made compromises on what we wanted and tried so hard to buy a car. We were told multiple times that our trade “should have been paid off and that they don’t know why treasury hadn’t paid it off yet”. I even spoke with our current lender and they confirmed that CARVANA had requested payoff info as late as March 8th. The lender has serious concerns and will look into this once the payoff is completed. We provided Capital One all the images, emails and texts so they are fully aware of the experience. Since we were essentially down to one vehicle we had to use Uber as a second vehicle to do the things we had to do while one of us was working. We were told “don’t keep track of the receipts, I don’t want to add them up so I can just send $750 to compensate for the hassle and travel”. We agreed and felt that was fair and would cover our expenses since the vehicle they delivered on 1/28/22 was not drivable. It just sat in our garage and dripped oil. It took them 6 weeks to finally come and pick up the car with a tow truck. And at this point were told by Executive Resolution people (2 different “Case Managers”) that they would follow through with their commitments, get our trade paid off, and do what is right. One even apologized profusely in email about our experience and could not believe this had happened to us. We learned from a prior purchase to record calls with CARVANA because they had previously promised us $250 for delay hassles and frustration. This was never sent. We have tracked every name, date, time, and notes from every conversation and have every conversation recorded. My attempts to speak with them ended after being yelled at and berated during our last conversation with Lena from Executive Resolution team. She was rude, dispassionate, and indifferent. She even threatened to return our trade during the call. We could not believe the posture and rudeness expressed to us. This was the same person that 10 days before said she would send us $750 for our transportation cost for Uber and our hassles during the purchase. In order not to get too granular, their vehicles rarely arrive clean. They rarely arrive on time. From watching vehicles go from purchase pending back to inventory, appears they have about 25-30% of their vehicles declined upon delivery and are returned back into their inventory. Our trade has showed sold for the past three weeks. We had been loyal. We had purchased 11 cars from them. We had recommended them to family and friends and I feel horrible about that. Simply put. You can not trust them. They may not follow through with promises. They may discreetly add conditions when wrapping up calls that are not even connected to the promises made earlier in calls only to come back later and trap you into being honest with them just to say “ah-ha, got you”. It’s so sad to see what CARVANA has become. They are no longer a caring, trustworthy, or capable I feel. Instead they are dismissive, disingenuous, and a disrespectful company. I miss the old CARVANA. Don’t buy from them. Go to a local dealer. Put up with their ridiculous games they play. Spend hours you don’t want to spend. But, at least, at the end of that horrifying experience you will have the opportunity to buy a quality vehicle and leave feeling exhausted but happy the next morning you walk out and get in your new car. If you buy from CARVANA it may become a nightmare that 51 days later we are still experiencing. They still have not paid off our trade. More
From start to finish this was the worst buying experience ever. From the very beginning they made it difficult to use my own lender. Before approving my purchase they made me have my bank send me the loan am ever. From the very beginning they made it difficult to use my own lender. Before approving my purchase they made me have my bank send me the loan amount in a check which was overnighted at my expense and I also had to update my insurance so the car was insured by the delivery date. The day before delivery I receive a text that my delivery date changed and will now be delivered 30 day later. So they don't even confirm my car is ready before requiring me to get all my ducks in a row?? No way am I going to trust them to be ready in 30 days when they obviously have no idea what they are doing. I would rather go to a dealership and deal with sales people than deal with this circus. Good customer care and they even come a little before time. If I have to buy again that will be there. My new truck arrived looking better than I thought it would. Only complaint is that it did not have a bed liner as stated in the description, Carvana is having their warranty company put one in for me. T would. This was my second attempt at buying a car through Carvana. First attempt resulted with numerous delays that ended with me canceling the purchase. About three months later I tried again. This time I Carvana. First attempt resulted with numerous delays that ended with me canceling the purchase. About three months later I tried again. This time I noticed in the CARFAX that the vehicle I purchased was in my home state of Texas. Seeing the car was most likely only three hundred miles away I figured I had better luck of an on time delivery and I did. The blemishes on the car looked worse in person than they did in their photos and not all were shown. They claimed it was detailed but there was pet fur still on some of the carpeted areas and the roof of the car was dirty. The engine oil was overfilled and I received a dash warning for that after driving a few miles. I decided to change the oil myself and the oil filter was difficult to get to and it’s condition makes me believe it was not changed when the oil was changed. This would account for the overfilled oil as the filter holds at least a pint of old oil unless it’s changed. Another issue I need to get addressed through the warranty is the fm radio reception is very poor, as if the antenna is disconnected. This should have been noticed during their lauded 150 point inspection. The delivery went well overall and was close to the requested time. Mostly I am pleased with my car. Definitely a premium to buying through Carvana, this car was easily about $2,000 over market price and even more than that if you go by KBB and the like. This is obviously why they offer Gap insurance for your purchase because they know if the car is a total loss in an accident insurance will not cover your loss completely. If you go into a Carvana purchase knowing you will pay more than market for a car and can accept possible delays it is a very easy way to buy a car. More
The process was nice and easy, very smooth. It was not time consuming, it was the best car buying process I’ve ever went through. Thank you so much Carvana! It was not time consuming, it was the best car buying process I’ve ever went through. Thank you so much Carvana! More
When I went to pick up my car from the local Carvana location, all of the doors were locked, and it was unclear where I was supposed to enter even though I had an appointment. They were still requiring location, all of the doors were locked, and it was unclear where I was supposed to enter even though I had an appointment. They were still requiring masks, which is fine, but would have been nice to know ahead of time. My employer is a major medical research center and has lifted their mask mandate so I was unprepared for that. The car is fine, but was misrepresented in the listing. I have owned two Prius C cars before and am very familiar with the features included at each level. My prior cars have both been a Prius c Two, so I was excited to "upgrade" to a Four. As far as I can tell, this car has none of the features included at the Three or Four level, including the Backup Camera that was actually mentioned in the listing, so it's basically another Two. I was on my last day of rental coverage with my insurance so I had to take it. When I called to ask about resolving this discrepancy, the customer service person was on another personal call and didn't realize he'd been switched to me. After about ten seconds, he code switched and was very professional after. He said that Carvana would not be able to add the Backup Camera for me - a feature that particularly drew me to this car- but if I wanted to keep looking for another one, I had 7 days to basically find a new car and trade this one in. While Carvana has a decent inventory coming in and out, nothing better came along within my budget, and now I'm on my last day and basically stuck with this car. It's a fine car to be sure, but was poorly misrepresented and no one was able to offer any reasonable reconciliation. More
