Overall a positive experience with very nice people. Why only 3 stars? Cosmetically the truck wasn’t exactly as indicated on the website. There are 2 half dollar sized dents in the lines of the hood (my guess is that it occurred during transport after pictures were taken). When asking about this with the Carvana rep that dropped the truck off, my only option is to return or exchange the truck (vs. some kind of small credit or offer to have a shop fix it). Keeping in mind, I like the truck overall, just not the dents I wasn’t aware of. Also, a piece of the undercarriage is missing. Carvana says Silverrock will take care of it. Silverrock says it’s Carvanas responsibility. I’m a director at work and father of 4 kids, I don’t have a lot of time to try and chase all this down. Not to mention, my truck was delayed twice which means shifting around a bunch of meetings/plans to try and accommodate. Apparently there’s a small check ($25 each day it’s delayed) coming but I have yet to see it. Also the delay was due to some obscure explanation of the undercarriage. I was told it was removed, then I was told it’s being fixed, only to receive the truck without an undercarriage piece existing at all. Want to emphasize the people I spoke with are very nice, but a lot of inconsistent information all around for my particular experience. Truck arrived with about 200 miles more than listed on the site which was also a surprise. None of these we’re dealing breakers as I ended up keeping the truck. However, I’m not 100% certain I’d use Carvana again. At least with an in person purchase, I can take care of everything in a matter of a couple of days from seeing the car, test driving, having it checked out and purchasing. From buying the car to receiving it, and phone calls dealing with all the inconsistencies, it’s taken a lot longer than expected. More
Carvana was SO easy to deal with! I find the predatory behavior of dealerships to be the most off-putting aspect of car shopping, but with Carvana I had none of that. I knew exactly when I wanted, had test driven a similar model, and once it was available on Carvana I knew it was the right choice. Even in the midst of the inventory shortage it was a breeze. NO hidden fees, NO haggling, just a quick and straight-forward purchase experience. I'd recommend to anyone, and have been telling friends & coworkers about how great this was. More
This whole operation is a mess. I was told when I purchased car there would be no problems registering in my company. 2 weeks later and 20 documents later they still didn’t have it figured out. I would submit, be approved, then get a text more informed was required. There was another group reviewing docs and they would then add more. A real mess. When finally all documents were approved, including pictures of a certified check, they decided they wanted the check mailed in advance. They wanted a certified check in hand before rescheduling delivery. I would have had no car, title, or anything in return. Stated I would pickup car in Tempe At and give them the check at that time, they failed to respond. Something very wrong with whole operation. A review of this business on line is not encouraging. Save yourself a lot of headaches and go elsewhere. More
What an easy process, hardly any real hard work on my end, no hassle at all, found the car I liked, told them about my trade in, they actually paid the car off plus a little more, took a couple of pictur end, no hassle at all, found the car I liked, told them about my trade in, they actually paid the car off plus a little more, took a couple of pictures and that was it, cat was delivered in a few days. It arrives with aftermarket replacement key fobs that do not have half the functions that are standard on the vehicle. Remote start, tailgate release etc. I request replacement with OEM fob to make vehicle operate as intended and they flat out say no. I rejected vehicle before they even rolled it off truck. This vehicle will sell but that buyer will be left to pay 600-800 for the correct fob and they shouldn't. Of course carvana will respond and say this is not typical and apologize and promise to improve, ask to call etc etc. I spoke with their corporate AZ office and they are the one's who said no. The culture is top down.They either tried to pull a fast one or have no clue of the product they are selling. They will appeal to your soft side with scripted compliments and empathize with you. Up until the delivery I was sold. It was at the point you called them to the mat that they did not stand behind their product. A 7 day return policy means nothing if they directly or indirectly modify the functionality of vehicle and reject responsibility. All of this and additional damage on vehicle not photographed or reported. Be cautious. If you have doubts, don't accept the vehicle. If you do, you will lose any leverage you might have and be forced to work with an extended warranty co to rule what can and cannot be honored. More
I have bought 4 cars from Carvana and this past time was a complete nightmare and still is. 1. Woke up the next morning with my new car to go to work, with a dead battery. 2. After getting that covered by silver rock, my car stopped running on the side of the highway, there was an oil leak, that I had to fight silver rock to even cover because it was “damaged enough” as well as my external transmission switch needed replaced, and brushing needed replaced. So at this point; it’s been 20 days and I’ve driven the car 4 times. I’m in a rental, for 18 days the second time, and had to come out of pocket to pay for the rental because they only would cover up to so much. Mean while, trying to get somebody at Carvana to actually see my problems though, I literally had to say no I’m not getting off the phone and we stayed on the phone for 3 hours resolving the problems. Which was fine, they sent me a 250$ check and reimburse me for the 50$ deductible I had to pay, but that was not for anything because then I had to use it to cover the rental. NOW; still; they have not paid off my current Lea in holder and I have my bank calling me saying I’m late on my payment. Which I called yesterday but lord knows I won’t hear anything back and have to call again. I will never recommend, buy; and trade in my car here ever again. More
