I decided to go through Carvana to purchase a vehicle because of their wide selection and the option to have the vehicle delivered to your house. I choose a 2018 Honda Civic LX, went through the simple p because of their wide selection and the option to have the vehicle delivered to your house. I choose a 2018 Honda Civic LX, went through the simple process of purchasing it, signed the contract and got insurance for the vehicle. It was ordered on December 16th and was put in the contract that the vehicle would be delivered on Tuesday December 22nd at 3:30 pm. I eagerly awaited the arrival of my new car. Two hours before the vehicle was supposed to be delivered to my house I got several messages apologizing for the fact that the car had not arrived at the distribution center and that it would not be at my house on time. They let me know that the earliest the vehicle would be there would be the following Saturday, the 26th. I didn't appreciate such late notice since I had taken off work to receive the vehicle but I went ahead and accepted the unfortunate circumstance and re-signed the contract for the new delivery time. Two days later I get a call saying the vehicle had arrived at the facility but that it had damage that was not mentioned in the website. They mentioned damage to the front bumper, fenders, and a dent in the roof. They said that the car was going to the body shop and that the earliest delivery date would be Saturday January 2nd. Not trusting the fact that this "new" car that I was purchasing had to go to the body shop before I received it, I begrudgingly decided to choose a different vehicle. Even though I was pretty upset, I choose to give Carvana the benefit of the doubt and assume that this was just a fluke with it being the holidays and what not. The next vehicle I chose was a 2013 Mazda3. It was still not going to be delivered until January the 2nd but I was still pretty excited for it. This morning, December 31st, I got yet another call saying that my vehicle has been delayed yet again, this time till January 5th. Needless to say I was pissed. I was really relying on having a vehicle on the 22nd and now I'm slated to wait until January 5th. I called customer service to understand why this was happening and they gave me some reasons as well as compensation for the time I had taken off of work. $25 a day up to $250 that the car doesn't arrive. It will be 14 days since the first vehicle was supposed to arrive. Why would I deal with this when I could go to a normal dealership and get a car immediately? That is the question in my head right now and I'm starting to regret going to Carvana for purchasing a vehicle. So if anyone out there decides to use Carvana, be prepared to wait a lot longer then they say it is going to take. Based on my experience, they are incredibly unreliable. More
Carvana is the Chick-Fil-A of car dealers! Seamless, responsive, and quality experience from start to finish. Will never go to a physical dealership again. responsive, and quality experience from start to finish. Will never go to a physical dealership again. More

I would recommend Carvana to everyone! I had a few hiccups with my pickup/delivery due to my suv being delayed in transit but it was resolved quickly and I was actually accommodated to meet halfway pl hiccups with my pickup/delivery due to my suv being delayed in transit but it was resolved quickly and I was actually accommodated to meet halfway plus they paid half for my family’s hotel stay! My suv arrived without being detailed & it had pet hair everywhere but Carvana offered me $100 check for that issue as well. The few cosmetic issues were pointed out to me upon delivery and they offered to get it fixed without hassle. Overall, the experience & customer service beats the dealership that I’ve been loyal to for the past 4 years! I got approved and my vehicle ordered within 1 hour. Just do it. Btw, I’m located in Nebraska. More
By far the WORST experience I've EVER had buying a car! I will NEVER use Carvana again! You have me the wrong vehicle, (according to the VIN I ordered), with damage that wasn't disclosed. You've LOST my regi will NEVER use Carvana again! You have me the wrong vehicle, (according to the VIN I ordered), with damage that wasn't disclosed. You've LOST my registration paperwork TWICE, constantly sending me emails about "You need to fill out this paperwork and send it back to us" when you ALREADY HAVE IT BACK. 2 months later, still no reg. You charged me for SMOG cert. IT'S A TESLA! there's no smog cert! You guys are liars and thieves. Everyone I know will hear this story. And then some. I deserve compensation. More
Had issues with the condition of the car. There was overspray from someone painting their house. It was not listed on the condition issues, I was told by the delivery driver that she was told by her su overspray from someone painting their house. It was not listed on the condition issues, I was told by the delivery driver that she was told by her supervisor that it "was part of the paint and was supposed to be like that". However I already own a ST and this is its twin same make, model, year, and color. My other has no such issue, it is also apparent that the overspray is on the windows. The "detail" job was very sup par and front tires were not in condition to pass state inspection and were a miss matched set, two different brands of tires. The "advocate" that reached out to me said he was going to get it taken care of. I was put on hold and after 8 minutes I was hung up on. Subsequent requests have gone unanswered. However the delivery driver Britany was a delightful person. More
Simple purchase process but delivery went horribly! Original delivery date was scheduled for Sat, 12/12 - Once the delivery was AN HOUR late with NO call from driver to confirm delivery a horribly! Original delivery date was scheduled for Sat, 12/12 - Once the delivery was AN HOUR late with NO call from driver to confirm delivery and NO notification of a late or canceled delivery, I called customer service and, after 5min waiting for them to figure out what was going on, was notified the driver had fallen ill. - I discussed a new delivery date with a representative. Sunday deliveries are not allowed for them so the new date of Monday the 14th was decided. Got a text and email a minute later confirming my new delivery date of WEDNESDAY the 16th! (This date change was not confirmed with me) - Got a call on Wed saying the date needs to change AGAIN because of logistical or scheduling reasons (Something like that. I don't remember the exact word they used). Delivery date changed to 19th (I think?) It was at this point I was told I would be getting compensated $250 for the delivery delay. This is appreciated but this was unfortunately not the end of my inconveniences. - On the 18th I got a call saying my car now needed REPAIRS and wasn't going to be delivered the next day. The rep. stated this info during a review of info that (apparently) was made known to me (It was not), and as if this had been a problem for a few days now and was the cause for my EARLIER DELAYS. They were't sure exactly what was wrong with it, only that it wasn't starting up. They were bringing it to their shop and, whatever needed to get done, they said it could now get to me by the 23rd. At this point, according to this convo, I had reason to believe Carvana might have been withholding information about the condition/health of my new car and was lying to me about why it couldn't be delivered. I was about ready to cancel my order. - I called the next day to get more info about when the vehicle actually "broke down" (to see if they had been lying to me), what exactly was wrong with it, and why I was just told about it YESTERDAY if this occurred days before. After finishing the call, I still didn't quite figure out when it first wouldn't start but did find out it just needed to be CHARGED. It's an electric car and they apparently declined to arrange for it to be charged enough (or charged regularly) to make the trip to me, and then, when the charge ran out, they thought it was BROKEN DOWN! Since charging it the required amount doesn’t take days to complete, they decided it would get sent out on the next available truck, unfortunately the next one was actually still on the 23rd. - Got a call on the 23rd confirming the delivery and was also told by the driver who test drove there car that, during his test drive, he noticed a noise while the car was breaking. I was immediately told that if it needed repair, the cost for that (and other repairs that are found) could be covered by Carvana. I took it to a shop and found out the noise is the normal sound of the regenerative breaking for the electric car. No big deal. Though Carvana might want to educate all their delivery drivers more on electric cars, especially evidenced by my delivery issues. My driver also told me the REAL reasons my delivery dates were being changed. I still had reason to believe Carvana was lying to me about the car not starting up but since I had the car in front of me and knew it was fine, I let it go. My car “issues” ended up ok in the end but this doesn’t give me confidence for those whose cars end up with ACTUAL problems and want to trust Carvana to give them a good quality vehicle, handle the vehicle well, and be honest with their customers about their purchases. Overall, I want to give a better review but when I consider the positive experiences of this purchase while looking back, most of them involve the positives of the car itself (which can be associated with the manufacturer, not the seller) so I guess I appreciated the selection Carvana has at its disposal but looking back, that's definitely not what I'll remember about my experience. Considering the cold weather possibly affecting my E-car's battery and the pandemic going on at the time, I understand the struggles Carvana may have gone through to get my car to me, but that's not an excuse to not do the decent thing and be honest and communicate the changes and updates that come as a result of those struggles. (But not knowing to charge my electric car really is inexcusable...) I see Carvana is responding to many negative reviews with the statement “Here at Carvana, we aim for full accountability and transparency during our car buying process”… but I’m sorry to say this is not what I experienced at all. Process was great except 3rd party lending. It took several tries over a period of days to get this right. The form letter had incorrect email response addresses, and the processors did not understand several tries over a period of days to get this right. The form letter had incorrect email response addresses, and the processors did not understand that smaller financial institutions are closed on the weekends. I thought that I would lose the vehicle due to this problem. Getting through the bots to reach a customer service rep was repetitive and frustrating; however, the assistance I received was excellent. I suspect that all would have been smooth if I had used Carvana's financing. Upon receipt, my car was missing a key fob which I will have to purchase, and I did not receive all of the owners manuals. I do love the car and feel that the pricing was excellent. More
Unsatisfied with my car purchase. The battery failed within the first couple months of owning the car and they refuse to reimburse me for that item. You shouldn't sell cars with dying batteries and if y within the first couple months of owning the car and they refuse to reimburse me for that item. You shouldn't sell cars with dying batteries and if you sell an expensive warranty plan you should include replacing batteries for a reasonable period of time (batteries typically last 3 to 5 years).
