My car was ready at the appointment time. That's as good as it got. The appointment time was not honored, they were over 30 minutes late. The car wasn't exactly clean, but at least it did have a full tank as it got. The appointment time was not honored, they were over 30 minutes late. The car wasn't exactly clean, but at least it did have a full tank of fuel. Naturally, in typical Carvana fashion, not all of the major imperfections were disclosed (like a torn convertible top) but stupid stuff that I couldn't even find was. This is my 2nd Carvana car, and my last. More
I was very pleased with my first time buying and trading in a car with Caravana. The price I got for my trade in was fair, and the vehicle I bought was exactly as displayed. I will recommend Caravana to oth in a car with Caravana. The price I got for my trade in was fair, and the vehicle I bought was exactly as displayed. That really ate into my 7 days so it’s something to consider moving forward for you guys. More

I had my vehicle die. I tried the traditional way of going to a dealership and the person I was dealing with was taking forever. I went on Carvana got prequalified, I found a car an had the entire proce going to a dealership and the person I was dealing with was taking forever. I went on Carvana got prequalified, I found a car an had the entire process completed (down payment) with documents signed (docu-sign) done in about 40 minutes (there is a timer at the top of the page). I was highly impressed My initial vehicle was great but was a little too small. Within the allowed 7 day window I swapped out the first vehicle for the one that I have (Mazda cx5) and the process was even quicker that time. 7 days 400 miles. They changed the down payment over dropped off my new vehicle picked up the return and I was on my way. I will definitely continue to use Carvana with any and all vehicle purchases in the future. They also pay your first year registration. More
Love our car. Love how relatively easy the process was compared to traditional dealership shenanigans. Customer Service was always friendly and more than willing to help. The gentleman who delivered our c compared to traditional dealership shenanigans. Customer Service was always friendly and more than willing to help. The gentleman who delivered our car was super friendly and seemed genuinely excited with us about our new car. The process still needs some perfecting, however. My critiques on the whole experience are as follows: 1) For the love of God, stop saying you don’t have dealerships, so the cost is lower. You can call them vending machines all day and they look cool when you drive by - all this means is that your dealership looks different and a small fortune was spent to build each one. It’s still a dealership and the price we paid was competitive, but certainly not cheaper than the identical car being sold at a local Hyundai dealership at the time. Heck, I’m reviewing my purchase on a website called DealerRater. Not Vending Machine Rater. My financial institution considers you a dealership. Legally, I’m sure Carvana’s vending machines are registered and licensed as dealerships. I get you’re trying to make a separation for people to see a difference in the experience of buying through you versus a traditional dealership, but to say that you don’t have dealerships is just a straight up lie to support the difference being presented. Carvana isn’t THAT different. Even if you have fewer staff, you’ve certainly invested in developers and technology to replace them. 2) No hidden fees. Yet at the end of the process I’m told of the existence of a nearly $500 delivery fee. This is never mentioned at any point in the buying process or in any of the commercials - it’s an unexpected large amount of money to suddenly be tacked on at the end and it immediately made me suspect. The cost of having the choice of thousands of cars is passed to the consumer. I know it’s not free to transport the car across the country, but this just wasn’t a good way to manage my expectations. 3) This is likely a result of securing my own financing instead of financing through Carvana, but during the week long process, I felt at times that I didn’t know whose court the ball was in and I had questions. Was Carvana and my financial institution going to work out the deal for me? Did Carvana have all of the documents necessary to proceed with the sale? The app said yes, but I had a sneaking suspicion that they didn’t have everything they needed from me. There were two times where I was unsure, and upon calling customer service, found out that there were still in fact documents that were required of me. Had I trusted that Carvana would call me if anything was needed and not called customer service myself, I may have missed the deadline and the car snatched up by another buyer. This part was stressful, especially when every time I called in, I (understandably) was connected with a different person each time. It just seemed blatantly obvious that I could be receiving a lesser experience or was a lower priority customer because I didn’t want to finance with Carvana. I’m sorry, but I have a credit score of 800. I’m not paying 5.2% interest, with a 12-15% down payment - that’s absolutely insane. While there is certainly less pressure than a traditional dealership or salesman, the process still exploits financial illiteracy to the same degree. More
My overall experience was great. It was easy to apply and the customer service was wonderful. Most people forget about the delivery person, but he was outstanding as well. the customer service was wonderful. Most people forget about the delivery person, but he was outstanding as well. More
