The car I wanted was very specific, and new ones only came up 1-2 each week, so I was checking a lot, but when it was right, it was right! The advocates were honestly great customer service folx, which you don't get to say all the time nowadays. My two suggestions: 1) Send an email on Day 6 that says, "hey, your 7 day guarantee is almost up. Do you love your car? Click here to tell us you're keeping it, and we'll send you a little gift!" I know the whole point of money back guarantees is don't remind people and most people forget, but I think you could stay on brand with the helpfulness and thoroughness with such an email, and it wouldn't change the number of folx who send the car back. 2) After I kept my car, I got a message about missing paperwork, including "missing security agreement form from third party lien holder". I looked everywhere for what this is, asked my bank, called advocates, everything. Went back and forth for days. Turns out it's just the loan agreement I already had on file. I think adding a little FAQ or explanation for each missing document to avoid this confusion could be a nice addition. Hope these suggestions help, you all asked for feedback, which is one more reason I give you 5 stars! More

My Carvana experience was awful. They sent me a Tundra with a rusted out front end that they tried to hide with black paint after I explicitly asked them to check for rust. They put a cheap set of Walmart tires on the Tundra that wouldn't hold air. The truck arrived with a dead battery with corroded terminals that the driver tried to explain away. You had one job, 150 point inspection. He had to use a portable unit to jump the truck to get it of the delivery truck. The one shop that Carvana has that you can take a car or truck in Northern Colorado for repairs is AAMCO in Fort Collins or Greeley. They tried to gouge me for a new battery. I have spent the last two weeks of my life on hold for hours trying to get the situation handled. I've never dealt with a customer service experience where so many people in an organization have no information or provide misinformation and then make no good faith effort at restitution. NEVER. AGAIN.!! More
Recently purchased a 2011 tacoma with 4WD and relatively low mileage. Took a couple weeks to arrive. After it got here I was surprised by how noticeably worn it looked compared to the photos and details pro low mileage. Took a couple weeks to arrive. I took it in right away and had a Toyota Technician look at it. Fortunately it is mostly surface rust. Hideous to look at. Also some minor but annoying things: radio has a bad connection and turns off intermittently and lights inside the truck keep turning off. The engine is in good shape and the 4wd works. I will keep the truck because these Tacomas are hard to find. However, I felt very mislead by the photos which had zero transparency of all the corrosion on the frame. Was also delivered with trash under the seats. More

So, let me say that overall, this was a great experience, but there were a few minor issues...let me elaborate: Customer Service: Each time I needed to call, which was about three times I think, the wait but there were a few minor issues...let me elaborate: Customer Service: Each time I needed to call, which was about three times I think, the wait times were pretty long, probably close to 40 minutes...however, everyone I talked to were fantastic and did everything they could to solve my issue. Followup: When I did have a problem, I did have to take the initiative to call back to see what was happening with my purchase. It would have been great to have some more timely followup and calls back when needed. On-line Chat: I found this feature to be pretty useless...for the most part, you only get to chat with the BOT which is a waste of time in most cases. It would be great to have some actual people to chat with in real time, and when you did leave a IM to get a call back, it never came. Forms and So On: This is where I ran into the most problems, but when it came down to it, it wasn't your fault, and the last person I spoke to was super helpful in letting me know what I could do to solve my issue. Delivery: Perfect...and on time. Overall: I would definitely but another car from Carvana...it was great overall. More

CARVANA has been a very good experience for me... all done from my smartphone, primarily at my convenience. I work the graveyard shifts and 12-hour weekend coverages, so my daylight free-awake hours are quite limited and I need to be efficient with those few daylight hours. I liked the easy flow and information layout on CARVAVA right away, so I started looking at cars, but was humbled a bit by the default terms displayed when the site didn’t know who I was. So, I created my account on CARVANA, then entered my financial information and all the basic terms listed with each vehicle automatically adjusted to my qualifications – I was very impressed with this! While I was looking, I was aware that there was a presence available, if I wanted to ask questions, but I’m kind of a private, intellectual, introvert – I know what I want. I like to take my time, read the details, find my own way, go back and forth, and slowly make up my mind my way. I was able to do this on CARVANA, and no one bothered me, no one steered me, no one interrupted my thought processes, and I decided when I was ready to hookup with the buying process. When I found the car I really wanted to buy, I touched the GET STARTED bar and followed it through the steps to set up my deal, touching EDIT to adjust specific terms like adding my trade-in vehicle and increasing my down payment amount to bring my payment down. To my delight, the CARVAVA site interactively adjusted the displayed resulting payment amount live. I really liked that interactive information because I could immediately see exactly what I was doing. I was very impressed with the design and flow of this site - CARVAVA is extremely well organized. Once everything in my deal looked good to me, I pressed SUBMIT to get things rolling for my approvals, responding to document requests by photographing each one on a white cutting board in my kitchen, uploading them to CARVANA and scheduling my delivery date/time, knowing would I get a test drive on delivery day, plus 6 more days to change my mind (the 7-day acceptance period). At the beginning of delivery day, my driver/closing-agent emailed information and texted me with progress reports and I replied with my selfie-with-drivers-license for secure/touch-free delivery verification under the Covid-19 guidelines. When the car was on my street and unloaded from the truck, I got a phone call to come on out for my test drive, and the driver checked out my trade-in while I was out in the new car. When I got back, my trade-in was on the truck and I DEFINITLY loved the new car, so I backed it right in to my usual spot and we closed the deal right there, signing all the papers, fully explained to me, and receiving my copies at the end. It took me a few days, driving to work with longer test drives home and spending some time reading the owners manuals, until I knew I wanted to keep the new car - it was in great shape, exactly what I wanted, and actually a little more that I had really expected. Wow - I was inspired to send my driver an email saying: “I have thoroughly tested all of my new vehicle’s systems and functions, except for the swerving/lane control and crash response… I expect those systems are probably just fine and I shall endeavor to have no need for them. Overall, this Blue Streak Metallic Camry SE operates supremely - I am continually surprised and impressed by its performance, sounds, and comfort... I love this car - it makes me laugh spontaneously as driving situations change and I experience something new from it’s performance. I expect I will remain a loyal Toyota driver from now on. My only regret COULD be that I didn't personally try a Toyota sooner, but I'm just thrilled to have one now. I had no idea how really great they are, and this one is wonderful!" Everyone should know that CARVANA & my driver, Karen Black, did a GREAT JOB!
