Buyer Beware.My first buying experience with Carvana Buyer Beware. My first buying experience with Carvana has left me unfulfilled, and very disappointed. I write this as a warning, but also as comfor Buyer Beware. My first buying experience with Carvana has left me unfulfilled, and very disappointed. I write this as a warning, but also as comfort for those who have, and will engage with Carvana. I recommend the following: Restrain from stating, “We put every vehicle through a 150 point inspection so that you can be 100% confident in the quality and safety of your vehicle,” if the vehicle has mechanical issues. To that, try to examine the car the day before delivery, not the day of. Further, restrain from re-listing a car with the same guarantee if it still isn’t mechanically fixed. That looks bad for your ethics. Restrain from amending contracts already signed by both parties without informing customers of the changes. Try to not make a customer contract for insurance until you know the car is ready for delivery. Work on your communication! Experiencing massive phone delays and dropped calls is never fun. Also please stick to at least one promise and call-back when you say you will. Oh and keep your associates informed! If they are asked about an issue, let’s have a more professional response than “no one told me that was even a problem.” Lastly, don’t get customers' hopes up with positive text messages saying that the order is confirmed and ready for delivery, if it isn’t. What enticed me to Carvana was their claim that they are the leaders in contactless delivery after many said it wasn’t possible. After an experience like this, it’s worthy of re-examination. The process from selecting my vehicle to delivery was smooth. The delivery guy let me know that he had already started a claim for me due to a chipped windshield which let me know they did a thorough che smooth. However, during the 7 day return period, I noticed that there was a warning that was coming up. I went to the recommended shop and they said the car was fine. Took the car to AutoZone and they said the message coming up was because of the alternator. The reason I chose to get a new vehicle was because I have had mechanical issues with my previous vehicle for over a year and didn't want to spend any more money on repairs to have the same issues keep coming up. I'm hoping this is a minor inconvenience that will not result in the car being in the shop for a long time or being returned as I really like this car. Had I not had issues, my review would have been rated a lot higher. More
