I have mixed feelings around my Carvana experience. Did I finally receive the Tacoma truck I wanted at an average market price? Yes. Unfortunately, the truck was delivered 8 days late and upon inspection had finally receive the Tacoma truck I wanted at an average market price? Yes. Unfortunately, the truck was delivered 8 days late and upon inspection had considerable rust under the rear end, including the tow package. Communicating with Carvana around both issues was frustrating as I was passed from one department to another. While each staff member was courteous and tried to be helpful, the process took several hours on the day of my second scheduled delivery, which never happened and was delayed again. Being self-employed, the hassle of waiting around for a truck that never shows up and then waiting to talk with the correct representative is more than frustrating, it costs me my time, and time is money as I had cancelled clients for those days. As for the rust issue, basically Carvana have no room for negotiating price. The issue was never addressed in their 150 point check and was not reflected on the price either. They offered a swap, except that none of the options matched the truck I purchased and after their first poor performance with delivery, I wasn't prepared for that mess again. I love my Tacoma, but comparing this experience with buying a used car in person, I'd definitely think twice before using Carvana again. More
The buying process is really easy, unfortunately the car is junk after 5 weeks. I’m still within my first 2 months of this 2014 TDI Passat and the timing chain broke causing the engine to shut down. When I called to ask if my limited warranty would still be honored, I was told I’m on my own since I’m 200 miles over the Carvana warranty. A car with 50,000 miles should not have problems like this and I would’ve appreciated some sort of extension on the warranty. More

Purchasing process was very long and drawn out. It took almost a week before the car arrived for me to test drive [Order received email from Carvana 9/12, delivery 9/18] . The people are all pleasant and easy to work with but the process in cumbersome and very serial. When I selected the car on Saturday, the web site indicated it could be delivered to my house on Tuesday. On Monday, the delivery was moved to Wednesday - no reason provided. Worked with a bank that is "fully integrated with Carvana" but they release the new finance approvals at 2pm each day but the deliveries for my area have to be scheduled by 11am and they don't deliver on Thursday to my area so the car showed up Friday. The down payment process is complicated. At a traditional dealership, you give them a check and the dealer checks that the funds are there. With Carvana, I had to participate in a three way call during working hours with my bank and Carvana to validate that the funds are in my account. My bank is a large national bank but not part of the automated system on the website. Carvana requires that you email them a picture of your insurance card with the new car information and correct VIN number before they will schedule delivery of the car (which is not true if you purchase at a traditional car dealer). The VIN number on all the documents from Carvana is attached to a different different model Lexus in whatever database the insurance company uses so I spent one hour while I am at work sorting the VIN mess out. Instead of an unpleasant two hours at the dealer, I spent six or seven hours over several evenings and work days scanning documents, chatting with customer service, my bank, my insurance company and talking to my advocate - not the car buying experience I was hopping for. So far, happy with the car, not happy with the process. More

I love Carvana! The delivery experience was just what I needed. Matt Page, the advocate who delivered my car, went through all the little things on my vehicle.
