So I purchased a 2014 Volkswagen Passat TDI SEL with 37,000 miles. I was done dealing with franchised dealers and decided to give Carvana a try after finding the vehicle I was interested in. The problems started shortly after purchase when they rescheduled my delivery 3 times due to their hours of operation which are not conducive for 8-5 folks like myself. The last cancelation I understood because it was due to the riots and curfews set in place but still was already annoyed. Then the car was delivered, the initial appearance showed more dents and scratches than what was shown in photos. Not to mention the outside looked like it was washed days prior and had water streaks on the exterior. Then I entered the vehicle and observed spiderwebs in the back row bench and stains all along the interior with a cigarette burn by the driver side A-PILLAR. The seats had small tears in the leather as well. Stupidly I accepted the car as I need a vehicle for my work week and thus believing the advocate's word who said it would all be taken care of. The next few days I discovered the KEYSS system to enter the key via keyless entry was broken, the passenger side mirror was broken and flopping inside the housing, the interior of the windshield had greasy stains and was absolutely covered in dust and the center console plastic dividers by the driver side footwell was falling down due to the broken clips. There were also three missing items that were advertised on the listing that were not present, all weather floor mats, first aid kit, and CARGO storage organizers which they told me they send me a check for about $100.00 bucks when the value is significantly higher. I made claims through Silver Rock who is supposedly the warranty go to for these repairs and they send me to Pepboys which is not a repair shop for these matters and upon arriving they said they could only look at the mirror despite the laundry list of other claims I had for the vehicle. I told them on day 6 I was strongly considering returning the car but they promised this would all be resolved and here I am on day 15 with no contact from Silver Rock since the claims were made and no checks from Carvana as promised which would have been insufficient. The amount of repairs needed are beyond $3,500 despite Carvana's claims they put about $1,000 into these cars and only select a "few". A small claims filing is likely to occur as this has been an absolute crap shoot vehicle purchase and I would not recommend this service to anyone. More

Carvana dropped of our vehicle and the driver showed us issues he found when loading the car to be delivered. He stated he tried to call me to have them fixed before he brought it. Unfortunately he dailed the wrong number to get a hold of me. He stated he had already the rust issues under the running boards and said that those issues would be fixed at a local shop. Set up a appointment to have the body look at and this was passed my seven days but once again I was told this would all be taken care not to worry. I have been on the phone trying to get resolve and no one ever calls back. Way past seven days and no one wants to fix the problems because they say some rust is normal and the repairs are too costly. So now I am stuck with a rust bucket and must make payments on a car for 5 years that should have never left the lot to begin with. And that just the biggest issue with this vehicle. I suggest NOT to buy a car from here!!! More

This was a very simple process. Find a car look at it from every angle, read the car fax look thru the 150 point inspection. Ask any questions I had. Only downside, I was told I’d get a gift card for a wash and haven’t got one yet. Small thing but yeah far from the worst thing that’s happened while buying a car! More

I was in the automotive industry as a salesman, finance manager, and used car manager. I understand it can be a headache for most people to go into a dealership. When i tried to purchase the first car, I was notified that there was some transport damage, and my delivery would be delayed (i had already established financing with my credit union). After plenty of calls, and hours of hold music, i was finally emailed pictures of the damage after a few weeks, and to my disappointment, the body damage was beyond comfort level to take after a repair. I proceeded to cancel my loan, and find another Tesla on the site. After starting an new loan, everything went swell up to the delivery process. I would absolutely NEVER deliver a car to a customer that was not cleaned, detailed, and in the best shape it could be for a used car. My telsa was dirty inside and out. Grime on the seats, headrests, leftover stickers and writing on the windshield, black fingerprints on the the fabric on the roof interior, glazed and dirty glass interior, smell from vents.. you name it. The carvana rep let me know they could have it addressed, and was later sent an email to take it to a repair facility under warranty.... this is not a repair or warranty issue, so i just decided to have it professionally detailed myself to avoid the hassle. I decided to take it to telsa to have it checked out.. and found the inner tread of the tires was completely bald, the rear taillight was letting water in, and the air filters were needing a a change badly. OH and they also let me know the vehicle was a rear wheel drive, not an all wheel drive, as listed from carvana! Tesla was great with getting the filters, and tail light taken car of. My carvana rep told me i would need to send in pictures of the bald tires (which i did) and would have a response in 24-48 hours later if they would replace these for me. after this time expired, i called on reluctantly for another 30+ hold time to be told it would need to take it into a 3rd party repair facility to be diagnosed, and then would determine if the warranty company would take car of this. This is absolutely not how a normal dealership would handle these issues, these would be taken care of before it on the "lot" or addressed before delivery, or shortly after. Yes, I could send the car back, hope my trade isnt sold or across the country, especially since i thought i was getting an all wheel drive, vs a real wheel, but after a month, im thoroughly exhausted with the process. I would rather drive myself 10+ hours out of state to a brick and mortar dealership, and go this this again.. to be continued. More

Carvana is awesome, there’s zero pressure to buy anything and if you don’t like it after they deliver it you have a full 7 days to have them come pick it up. They handle your registration and don’t have the hidden fees of dealers either. Can’t say enough good things about it. More
