very different way to buy a car I once visited this site a few years ago and was going to make a purchase, but got "cold feet" and backed out Fast forward to 2020, I was looking f I once visited this site a few years ago and was going to make a purchase, but got "cold feet" and backed out Fast forward to 2020, I was looking for a work vehicle and the COVID-19 situation hit and in my state of New York all non essential businesses was ordered closed this included all of the car dealerships, so I went to "OLD FAITHFUL CARVANA" There selection of vehicles was excellent and there financing was just what I needed and everyone involved in my purchase process was great, I found a beautiful Chevy Trax with very low miles on it and I am totally happy with this car, I believe that this will be the only to buy a car now that we are dealing with the coronaviruis, Carvana was way ahead of the game. More

Overall disapointing experience The initial purchase was easy and straightforward online, however, when I didn't use Carvana financing the process got more complicated/broken down an The initial purchase was easy and straightforward online, however, when I didn't use Carvana financing the process got more complicated/broken down and unclear. I spent a majority of one day on the phone and online with my bank and Carvana trying to get the two to communicate as although Carvana was an authorized dealer it seemed like neither had worked together before. Once I thought I had everything completed correctly and contracts in place the addendum to the purchase contract didn't have my whole address on it so I was told I'd need a new purchase contract. It was an overall clunky and time consuming process. My delivery was scheduled for a Tuesday at 1:30 and about 8:30 am of that day I was notified that the car deliver was delayed. I assumed this meant later in the day or the following day but instead I was told Saturday, about the same time period as the original delivery timing and after some conversation they did bump it to Friday. Although they did over $25 a day its seemed like an insignificant amount for that kind of delay also considering interest on my loan started accruing. The car was delivered timely and the delivery driver was professional. I was disappointed at the cleanliness of the car, the outside had some staining and the cupholders were very dirty. In addition the left rear tire was low and every time I use the car I get the warning notification. I sent pictures of the very dirty cup holders but evidently I needed to do it within 48 hours so its now my fault. I will likely not be doing business with or recommending Carvana to anyone in the future. More

First impressions were that the car had not been cleaned from the previous owner, the car had a tag hanging from the rearview mirror saying that it had been scented but the car had a weird smell to it. After doing a quick look over, I decided to go on the test drive to get a feel for the car as well as to do a proper look over since the guy was hanging around will we where looking at the car. The car drove great, although I did find it strange that the engine was hot will I was doing the initial look over, I found a good spot to stop and really look over the vehicle as well as try to find out where the smell was coming from, and that's when we found it. The car had not been cleaned it had just been vacuumed to look clean, under the seats where dog hears and suckers and all kinds of things, its as if they got the car looked it over to make sure it was ok and then gave it to me. Now I've bought cars from all kinds of dealerships some new some used and some that didn't even make it home after I bought them, but they all had one thing in common and that is they were all clean. So I took the car back and told the guy what we had found and asked him if I could go get it detailed at Carvana's expense. And he replied because of the covid19 we are making cutbacks and we no longer offer that, he offered to vacuum the hair and remove the trash but the car was not cleaned. My friend was the one that recommended this place to me, and he also took me to pick up the car, and after I picked up the car he kept apologizing for the whole thing and saying that's not how his experience went. You would think that with the whole covid19 going on, that the cars you are selling to people have been cleaned, and by clean I mean washed not just vacuumed, and if you cant provide that service have a place that people can take their cars after they received them to get them cleaned for free or at list a discount, who wants to buy a dirty car. I would not recommend this place, and since then my friend has stopped recommending people, I've also told a few people that were looking at getting a car from here how it went from me. I'm not saying that your prices aren't good, but if you can't afford to have a car detailed I would rather pay $500 more to make sure that the car has been properly cleaned then get the best deal. More
Finally, Came through! After two previous nightmares, Carvana finally came through. They let me know they were not going to deliver my car the night before the delivery was After two previous nightmares, Carvana finally came through. They let me know they were not going to deliver my car the night before the delivery was to occur and hung up on me several times after repeated attempts to find out what was going on. However, after being put through to Dee in Customer Escalation, everything was down hill from there. I had to select another Mini, but it arrived on time with a bow and I couldn't be happier. Dee also offered to allow me to take to a third party to have a thorough inspection on Carvana's dime. They also sent us a bag of treats from Tiff's Treats. So, all in all, not bad. There is still a huge disconnect somewhere and they are lucky to have someone like Dee to bring things together. I know I was very grateful for her. More
