He called later in the day to inform me during the full circle inspection they found a leak in the transfer case breather vent assembly and repaired it since it was under an extended warranty. I previously notice three drops of fluid on the garage floor but did not see it again, so I chose to ignore it when I brought the car in and did not mention it. More
Extreme Unprofessionals! Three weeks ago I wrote a review in which I called this dealership a "money-making machine", because I brought-in the 7-year-old Mazda CX-7 with wit Three weeks ago I wrote a review in which I called this dealership a "money-making machine", because I brought-in the 7-year-old Mazda CX-7 with with the "check engine" light on, they charged me $350 for diagnostics, haven't fixed anything and made me a great favour by offering $500 for this car. Now I would like to state that in addition to being a money-making machine PUGI Mazda is a bunch of EXTREME UNPROFESSIONALS who cares only about their revenues. So, after that experience my story continued... Everything happened within several days, but I am writing about it now, which is two weeks after. I took my car to the private mechanic in Naperville where I live, it took him one day to figure out the problem - it was a clogged injector. He changed the injector and now the car is up and running even better then before. The private mechanic charged me $370 for parts and labor (almost the same as PUGI Mazda charged me for literally nothing). My mechanic also confirmed (what PUGI Mazda stated) that the compression was slightly lower in the 3rd cylinder. However, the mechanic said that it was rather a very small loss in compression, and that he won't believe that such a small drop in compression would cause such a serious misfire in the cylinder. Obviously the leaks from the gasket cannot be the reason for the misfire specifically in the 3rd cylinder! It was simply a bad injector. And if technicians from PUGI Mazda would at least read Mazda forums, they would see that this is a common problem with Mazda Engines, that their injectors basically are very bad! What I find extremely unprofessional here is that PUGI MAzda didn't even attempt to try to find what was the problem. They just said that the car needs new engine for $12,000 or "we will take it from you for $500". If you look for how much they sell the same cars, you will see that it is around $8,000-10,000. Obviously, we cannot exclude that they didn't even try to fix my car hoping to get it for nothing and then sell it for around $9,000. Can you imagine? I find it really mean and disgusting that PUGI Mazda are saying that they are professionals, and playing that card all the time, but indeed they care only about their money and could not even solve a problem that seems to be super simple for any private mechanic. To conclude, if your Mazda is out of warranty and if you do not have extra money that you have no idea how to spend, don't be an idiot and don't go to PUGI Mazda, as well as any other Mazda dealership for repairs! Find a private mechanic near you, who will be able to fix your car way much better (and also cheaper). There is a very important thing in business called reputation and it seems that dealers completely forgot about it. Loss of reputation is more detrimental than loss of financial revenue. Small private car shops always cared about their reputation... Think about it! P.S. If you think that I am not a real person and writing this review intentionally, I would say that I am a real person, you can always google my name and see who I am and what I am doing - I am not connected to cars at all, I am a professor at the university who is doing research in molecular biology. And yes, I am writing this review very intentionally, so that you would not get in the same unfortunate situation as I! Good luck! More

First Service visit on car that was purchased here. BEWARE! I came in for my first service visit. Since I purchased my car there in march I was told that oil change and tire rotation is for free. I told him I am here for my first oil change and I had purchase the car here in march. He said great that the first visit the oil change is on the house but I have to pay for the tire rotation on the car for $19.99 since it is not cover. I thought it was weird because a few days earlier the girl at the dealership said both oil and rotation is for free. I didn't want to argue with Joel so I decline the tire rotation. Later on I called back and talk to the service manager John and not once was he apologized for the mistake. So please future customers please be aware or you will be taken advantage of More
First Oil Change, new 2014 Mazda5 I'm not the greatest lover of going back to the original dealer for maintenance, but I needed my first oil change on my '14 Mazda5 minivan. I searche I'm not the greatest lover of going back to the original dealer for maintenance, but I needed my first oil change on my '14 Mazda5 minivan. I searched around and the recommended 0w20 synthetic oil was shockingly high at other oil change shops. So I just happened to check Pugi where I bought my minivan and they had a coupon that made it at least more palatable. Now I hate calling business phone systems, but somehow navigated my way through it. Also, they're not as convenient or fast as a closer oil change shop, but the service and extras (washed my car) as well check many of the important car systems made up for the extra travel and time limits of setting up an appointment. Coffee was available and my wait time was actually shorter than I expected. I'd strongly recommend Pugi Mazda for car buying and for car maintenance/service. Thanks Pugi for the great service. Also, I really love my minivan. More

After he explained the two step process for this recall and that the part would take up to two weeks to get, I explained that the car would be out of state due to her job and could not be brought back until October. Not wanting to have me wait until October, Matt was able to secure the part and get it installed that very afternoon saving myself from returning 3 months later to fix the recall. He could have just just let me know that he was following the process and that it would be my responsibility to get the car back in but he took care of the situation right then and there. Outstanding customer service. Not sure who the tech was that worked on my car, but he also stopped what he was doing and performed the maintenance. More
I did not buy my car here but since I moved to Naperville, Lisle area I have got all my services and other problems related to my car taken care of at this location. The service manager "Anthony Carbone" is excellent and very cordial and helpful. He makes sure everything is up to date and lets me know if I am missing anything or need to take care of anything. He is very personable and very observant of the vehicle and makes sure its tip top before he hands the key back to me. Everything gets taken care of even if i leave my car there leaving no room for inconvenience. All-in- all its a great dealership for service with excellent staff and I end up with a smile on my face every time I go there with a feeling that my car is secured and taken care of.
