Was told on the phone when I set the appointment up that you would honor the coupon of $149 for rear break changes. Take my car in the next Friday at my 9 am appointment. 5 hrs later at 2:30 and I still had you would honor the coupon of $149 for rear break changes. Calls me back 5 mins later and gives me an answer like it had been ready for a while. Says the breaks will be $610 and can’t honor the coupon. I was upset, but professional and said yes. I also said yes to $49 front wheel alignment. Calls me back later and says it is done but couldn’t do the wheel alignment bc that team had left for the day. Had it not taken 5 hrs to inspect, it probably would have been done. When I pick up my car, he says it will be $872. I was completely caught off guard. He said we “usually” quote pre-tax. I was already frustrated at the coupon and $610 that was quoted on the phone (actually was $710 - he misspoke), and now it’s $872 after everything has already been completed. I would have done the job myself had I been aware it was going to cost that much. More
