After Bob actually made that happen, I sauntered into the showroom to compare stickers of models similar to my '15 428 CV I'd brought in for service as well as our '18 530 Sedan at home. While browsing, your Sales rep Steve Murphy approched me and asked if I had any questions.I did, to which he gave me both informative verbal information as well as showed me how certain things worked on the 4 & 5 series in the showroom. I was especially grateful for having learned things about my cars I wasn't using. Unusual for both Service & Sales agents to be so helpful that I'd take such notice as to actually write a review this experience. Would that it were true for other branches of your corporation.You wouldn't need "GENIUSES" which albeit at other branches, gave us shorter shrift during our encounters with them leaving us wanting for information. Not egregious on their part but certainly noticeable. Your outfit @ Camelback stands out from many luxury auto dealerships in PHX as well as other cities we've lived in, for which we are grateful. Kudo's to Chapman Camelback management who apparently pay attention to sensitive customer detail in both hiring & training of your corporate representatives. More
New Car Purchase - M4 Let me start my review by saying I am a long-time BMW car enthusiast and I have purchased more than ten of them over the past 20 years. I have worked with all three of the local BMW dealerships and each have their pros and cons. The majority of purchases over the years have been with North Scottsdale (Penske) quite simply because of sales representative I worked with and their willingness to strike a better deal. I had a very poor sales/demo encounter with Chapman over 20 years ago at their McDowell Road location and I simply did not go back because of it. However, I was in the market for a new M4 and knew exactly what I was looking for and unfortunately North Scottsdale did not have it in the near future. Thus, I decided to give Chapman on Camelback an opportunity to earn my business. My sales representative was a nice man and I believe he sincerely tried to broker a fair deal. This unfortunately is where the positive review ends and the unsatisfactory part of the story begins. I am a very prepared buyer and I do my research on the vehicles I purchase. I went in with a specific set of options I desired and fair purchase price. I made my best offer right from the beginning and justified my pricing. Nearly five hours later we reached an agreement point which was just unbelievable. The deal could have been closed in an hour but they used the "keep him in the dealership as long as possible" to try wear me down. Poor use of my time and theirs. The deal was struck in the midpoint and we could have gotten there much sooner. My second issue revolves around a carbon fiber rear spoiler that was included in the deal. The spoiler was to be installed on a dealer "we owe" along with window tint. I returned several days later to the service department to have both items completed. Ernie my service advisor was excellent. I received the car back and all looked good...very satisfied. The new car sat in my garage for several days unused and I noticed upon inspection of the rear spoiler it was separating from the trunk. I was very surprised and disappointed in the quality of the install. I called my sales representative twice (voice mails) and the Sales Manager (also voice mail) to advise them of my concerns and disappointment. Neither have returned my call to date nearly a week later. Fortunately, Ernie the service advisor was much more responsive and scheduled me to back in the next day to have the problem corrected. When I asked how this could have happened, he advised me the service department (and the qualified technician) did not perform the install???? He indicated that my sales representative insisted that he would install it personally. Needless to say I was floored on why the dealership would allow a non-qualified individual perform this install on my brand new car. I had waited nearly 15 years to purchase this type of vehicle (dream car) and my sales experience was quickly turning into a nightmare. Ernie and the service technician Sean did a great job on getting the spoiler removed and reinstalled correctly...kudos to them! However, the Sales Department failed miserably on multiple dimensions of this customer transaction. Buyer beware...it seems very apparent they cut corners to save money on the install of my spoiler, they dragged out the purchase negotiation time to try gain advantage, they allowed (condoned) unqualified individuals to perform services on my vehicle, and no one from the Sales organization has taken the time to explain, apologize, or tried to regain my goodwill for the errors they made. Simply fixing what should have been done right the first time is not a satisfactory customer service experience. I mentioned to three separate dealer representatives that I would like a call back from the dealership Sales Manager or General Manager. I have heard nothing back and at this point it is too late...the customer relationship damage is done. I hope this review serves notice to Chapman that every transaction matters...now many others know my story. There is no excuse for lack of follow-up and not treating each customer as valued. The senior leadership of the dealership failed on this one and that will be reflected in my upcoming BMW Manufacturer survey. More

Excellent service to a very busy, working, new mom I needed to trade in my lease for a bigger vehicle due to my new son. This was my second purchase at the dealershi POSITIVE, POSITIVE, POSITIVE! That’s how I felt about my recent car purchase at Chapman BMW on Camelback. This was my second purchase at the dealership, which has treated me as a valued customer for nearly 5 years! I met Craig Rusin in 2014 when I walked onto the lot. He is personable and professional, and made me feel that my needs came first from the moment we started conversing. Just like my first car purchase, on my second purchase he did not pressure me one bit. He took time to sit with me, look at different colors and options, and made sure I was in the right vehicle. I cannot be happier! I purchased an M3 in 2014 and now an M5. I traded in my M3 to Chapman and was given a very competitive value. Additionally, on both cars, I was given lucrative financial incentives to acquire the vehicle and came away feeling great about the price I paid. And to top off the entire experience, after spending over an hour with me showing me all features of the vehicle, Genius John Wallace drove to my house and programmed my garage to open with the buttons on my rear-view mirror! If you want a great car buying experience where you are treated as you should be, with your needs put first, Chapman BMW on Camelback is the dealership and Craig Rusin is your guy! More
