My daughter's Sonata radio had stopped working, and was in and out. She made an appointment, the radio worked the day of her appt, but the service people said they can't fix what was not broken. The stereo works sporadically and they don't believe us? Wouldn't even look at it? A 7 -month -old Sonata bought at their dealership with an extended warranty package, and they think she was making the problem up and wasting a Saturday morning going to her appt at the dealership? As a long-time customer of Checkered Flag Hyundai, I had met with and spoken to Mr. Joel Perry on several occasions. At first, I was impressed with his product knowledge. He would relate to me about upcom met with and spoken to Mr. Joel Perry on several occasions. At first, I was impressed with his product knowledge. He would relate to me about upcoming upgrades and models to be introduced. Later on, all that he spoke of did come to fruition, the R-Spec, the Azera, and so on. A salesperson with such in-depth knowledge and enthusiasm about his products is an absolute, invaluable asset to his team. As time went on, and I came to be "in the market" for a vehicle, Joel became the natural choice for me to approach. I had very much enjoyed talking with him about cars, especially the Hyundai brand. Most important of all to me, when I told Joel about the car that I was looking for, he delivered. After extraordinary efforts to locate and procure my dream car, Joel finally called me with the good news! I am now in the driver's seat of a stunningly beautiful, head-turning 2013 Genesis R-Spec. In regards to customer service, Bob was great at communicating with me knowing my life was extremely busy, working 40 hours a week, the mom of a graduating senior in high school, and a very busy and communicating with me knowing my life was extremely busy, working 40 hours a week, the mom of a graduating senior in high school, and a very busy and time consuming soccer schedule. He got back to me when I had questions for him....and I had lots! The car was being bought for my daughter and after looking at different cars she said, "Bob was the best salesman, the only one who was not annoying" and she felt he was clear about things when she talked with him. Bob was very friendly, and the quality of how Bob worked with us was great! Bob was busy when I went with my daughter after she and her dad had gone and test drove a car the week before but he never made us feel secod on his list. He gave us a great amount of attention an yet gave us enough personal space to look over things so we could make decisions. Again, when we had questions he was happy to answer them. I would say it was Bob's friendly demeanor is what made us gravitate to him at Checkered Flag Hyundai on Virginia Beach Blvd. Again, my daughter felt he was not annoying like the other salesmen she met and he communicated well with her, especially with regards to the technology equipment on the car. I am sure that comes from raising his own kids. I was dealing with another salesman at another dealership at the same time and through his behavior I realized Bob's qualities as a salesman. Bob is like the guy who could be your neighbor that you might grill burgers with over the weekend, that was just how he talked with us and that made us feel very comfortable. I must say, buying a car can be a draining process, but Bob did so much to make that process a lot easier by being up front and responsive to our needs, making our overall experience a positive one. We parted with smiles in our beautiful new Hyundai Elantra that we got for a great price! So, if you are looking for a better car buying experience I would say go see Bob Rischitelli at Checkered Flag Hyundai on Virginia Beach Blvd. Thanks, Bob. More

Barbara Collins, our sales rep was excellent, no pressure at all and super customer friendly. She let us direct the conversation, and ask any crazy question at any time. There was NO sales pitch, which I assume everyone hates. She took her time with us when we were confused about which car to buy and this took several visits by us. If anyone deserves high praise, it is Barbara. I definitely would go back to her and would recommend her to anyone wanting a car buying experience to be comfortable and positive. We also believe we got a good price for the Elantra we bought. More
