I live in Jackson, MS, so it was a little drive to go buy a car in Memphis. I corresponded via email with Alex over the course of a week to discuss the 2010 Avalon I was interested in. I found Alex to be v a car in Memphis. I corresponded via email with Alex over the course of a week to discuss the 2010 Avalon I was interested in. I found Alex to be very forthright and transparent in his approach to discussing the Avalon and the car I planned to trade. Once we got to the dealership, Alex was very easy to work with and pretty knowledgeable about the car. In the end we worked out a deal I think we were both happy with and we drove away in the car. I had a lot of apprehension going into the dealership because of the typical perceptions on used car dealers. I am happy to say that wasn't the case at Chuck Hutton from start to finish. I visited Chuck Hutton after I purchased my Toyota Truck because it was the closest Toyota dealer to me. I had my vehicle serviced 2 to 3 times and everything was fine, but then I started having problems wi because it was the closest Toyota dealer to me. I had my vehicle serviced 2 to 3 times and everything was fine, but then I started having problems with my air conditioner. After the 3rd trip to the dealership for the same problem within a week, I was told that they would most likely not honor my extended warranty due to the fact that a part had been replaced after the previous owner hit a deer. Stephanie told me that she would check with her service manager and call me back as soon as possible to determine whether or not the warranty would cover it. On the 5th day after this conversation, after receiving no contact from her, I drove to the dealership to see what could be done. I was told that I would have to agree to pay for at least 3 to 4 hours of diagnostic work before they would look at my vehicle. This would have been the third time they had had the vehicle for the same problem. Keeping in mind the whole time that I had been waiting for a return phone call, I am riding around with no air conditioner in 90-95 degree weather. After it became apparent that they did not want to work on my vehicle, I gave up and called another Toyota service center. The truck was diagnosed and repaired within a week using the warranty. As it turns out, the piece that Chuck Hutton assumed was the problem was not even an issue. Needless to say, even though Chuck Hutton is the closest service center to me, I will not be returning there nor will I recommend it to anyone. I will gladly drive the extra 45 minutes to a service center that will put the effort in that is required to solve any further issues that may arise. More
