Frustrated responded

I had not "driven to the point where many repairs were needed past regular wear and tear and preventative maintenance at 5 years of age and 86,000 miles." This final incident happened in May. I had just had my car in for it's regular checkup in February where I paid around $3300 to have repairs done to my car. Do not accuse me of not taking care of the vehicle. Cars in general that are taken care of, like mine was, usually last more than 86,000 miles. A MINI motoring advisor DID NOT contact me about a newer Mini. As I said before, I had to contact them to see what my "loyalty dollars" would offer me, basically about $500.
