My one less-than-satisfactory aspect of the experience was the dreaded "visit with the manager"--a sales device which is often structured to push unnecessary and costly "packs" onto the purchase. In my case it was $1000-plus insurance for the car windshield, and a $1400 "discount" package for routine maintenance that would cost a fraction of that at a quality out-of-dealership source--or which is provided free by at least one other Subaru dealership in the area. To the employee's credit, he did not apply any pressure when I indicated that I was not interested in the items. More

Dan let us take the car for a test drive by ourselves, we drove on back roads and the highway near the dealer. I really liked the car, and went back later in the day with my trade-in.
