I finally got a call from Tricia about being charged almost $2000 labor for service work on a car that was in your shop for 4 hours. She said her manager would credit $300 back to my credit card. This brought the effective charges for the labor down from $500/hour to about $425...more than double the $189.95 rate that is claimed on the invoice. Her explanation that "this (flat-rate service pricing) is how the industry does things now" was completely unacceptable. After 8 years of a very positive relationship with the Flemington Subaru Service Dept., this new "price gouging" policy is causing me to terminate that relationship.
