Good Afternoon, I normally would say Claremont Toyota goes above and beyond for customer service. Unfortunately, this is not the case yesterday. I went in for an oil change and while there I asked Ozzy ( goes above and beyond for customer service. Unfortunately, this is not the case yesterday. I went in for an oil change and while there I asked Ozzy (Advisor) if they can check the TPMS sensor on the dashboard that was blinking. I recently purchased new tires but did not want the TPMS replacements they were offering. He said " no problem but it will be 155 to have it diagnosed". I was ok with that for the moment. Ozzy called me a few hours later to report the bad news that 3 sensors are completely out and suggested to replace them all before they failed as well. The price was about 1100. I told him I was not prepared to spend that much before the holidays and what would cost for the 3 sensors that needed replacing. He said over 700 I believe. I told him I will think about it and he mentioned he was going to ask his Manager if they can lower it as well. When I called back they indeed lowered it to under 550. I was excited until he explained to me that the original 155 charge will also be added. So brought them up again to close to 700. Ozzy was professional and friendly throughout this experience but I have never experienced any business that charges the diagnose even when I was willing to do the work. I was puzzled and upset and decided against the service. Hopefully this was a one off and not your business model going forward. More
