I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at the Honda dealership in Streetsboro. I brought my 2019 Honda Accord Sport in because it was displaying multiple warning messages, including “Em at the Honda dealership in Streetsboro. I brought my 2019 Honda Accord Sport in because it was displaying multiple warning messages, including “Emissions System Problem,” “Brake System Problem,” “Brake Hold System Problem,” “Electric Power Steering Problem,” and “Vehicle Stability Assist Problem.” My expectation was that the service department would properly diagnose the root cause of these warnings before recommending repairs. Instead, I was told that my vehicle needed new brakes, ball joints, a tire replacement, a transmission fluid flush, and several other maintenance items. I authorized those repairs based on the dealership’s diagnosis. After being without my vehicle for more than a week, I picked it up only to find that the exact same warning messages were still on the dashboard. At that point, the service advisor and technician performed a more comprehensive diagnostic and determined that the actual issue was a failed turbocharger that needed to be replaced. This was incredibly frustrating. Had the turbocharger issue been correctly diagnosed from the beginning, I would have postponed some of the recommended maintenance—such as replacing my tires—and prioritized the repair that was actually causing the warning lights. Instead, I spent a significant amount of money on repairs that did not resolve the problem I originally brought the vehicle in for. I understand that vehicles can have multiple issues, but accurately diagnosing the customer’s primary concern should be the first priority. I expected the expertise of a Honda dealership to identify the root cause before recommending costly repairs. Unfortunately, my experience left me questioning the quality of the diagnostic process and feeling like my time and money were not respected. I hope the dealership takes this feedback seriously and improves its diagnostic procedures and communication so other customers don’t have a similar experience. More
