Edgar is the sales person involved in my transaction on a 2021 Ram 1500 Tradesman on September 7 2021. When getting into my new truck after everything was finalized and ready to drive home… noticed that the 2021 Ram 1500 Tradesman on September 7 2021. When getting into my new truck after everything was finalized and ready to drive home… noticed that the front bumper had no license plate bracket… told Edgar about the missing bracket, AB’s his comment was that “ oh the buyer pays for that …we at Clay Cooley “ don’t. Our vehicles sometimes comes with them but mostly don’t! .. I stated this to him nicely that all vehicles need to have a bracket on them because of state regulations… so when you all call me that when my plates arrive at your dealership.. in return gave no way to mount them because of no bracket! Why should I have to even pay a penny more on a minuet thing such as this!.. every car that I bought has alway had one.. so I dog to the Ram dealership by my area and head to the parts department and ordered a license plate bracket for the front.. the gentleman ask me that..” that’s a first” on buying a license plate bracket.. so then I told him my situation at Clay Cooley Mitsubishi in Arlington that they refuse to buy me a bracket for my license plate … he said that they are all supposed to have one Every vehicle on our lot new or pre owned needs them on prior to selling! I said well Clay Cooley didn’t. And Edgar at Clay Cooley fought me on this all the way and refused it More

They will take advantage of someone who may be new to the car buying process and screw you over. I went very excited to buy a car, everything was going great until I told the sales person that I did not want the family car package or the connect app (He quoted me $42K total for car price, sales tax, family care package and connect app). He then sent me with a person in finance, and that person came back with a total different car price and quotes. (45K for the car price alone) When questioned about why the car price had changed , he asked me where did I get the prices I was trying to discuss. Told me the sales person that I had been negotiating with did not know, then I told him the car sticker and the price online is the same one the sales person quoted and I wanted that price. He had the nerve to ask me which website I was looking at. It was their own website. He then went back and changed it. He quoted me 2 totally different transactions. He was all over the place, and he just came up with hand written numbers and if I would have not asked for the breakdown, I would have missed what he was trying to slide in. He then tried to tell me that I could finance with them, make my first payment and then refinance with my outside lender and gave me a purchase order with the estimated car payment I would have after refinancing. What he did not count for was that I understand loans, rates, etc and the sheet he gave me was for their own financing but at a cheaper rate. All he did was change a number. All I did not want was the $3K in extras and got thrown into a mess. I left, I felt uncomfortable after that, they created mistrust in the whole deal. I instead went to the AutoPlex of Hurst Mitsubishi and it was day and night. The facility, staff, ambiance, it was top tier. I told him what I want and didn't want, he got me sold and out the door with my brand new car in 2 hours. I financed with them, I told them I had outside financing, showed them the rates, they were very close so I chose them. It was top tier. More

DECEPTIVE --- REFUSED TO HONOR THE ONLINE ADVERTISED PRICE!!! Tried to charge me $43,000 for a 2022 Outlander that is advertised on their website for $35,817 after discount ($36,655 MSRP). They offer PRICE!!! Tried to charge me $43,000 for a 2022 Outlander that is advertised on their website for $35,817 after discount ($36,655 MSRP). They offered $13,000 for my trade-in which was consistent with the quote I received from them online. When I asked them to honor their ADVERTISED price of $35,817, they refused, stating they received a flyer directly from Mitsubishi that all cars on their lot must be sold for $6K over MSRP and that their website price is not updated. We heard enough and went to leave, the Finance Manager came out & said they'd go to $39K, but now they were only offering $9,500 on my trade-in... My husband was with me, he worked as a car salesman for years - he said he has never seen deceptive behavior like this before, especially from a national brand. They try to focus on your monthly payment and won't talk pricing. I won't even get into them telling me a 9% interest rate is fair for a credit score above 700 and also they've cut out the process from every window sticker. DON'T LET THEM TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU! I went to look at a 2018 equinox listed for $23995. 00 on autotrader but on there website they have $23995.00 + 995 connected and protected package when they came out with the price they had $33995.00 + 00 on autotrader but on there website they have $23995.00 + 995 connected and protected package when they came out with the price they had $33995.00 + $995.00 and said $23995.00 was a mistake but they would honor the $23995.00 but would not remove the connected and protected that I did not want, they add it to all vehicles salesman was pleasant but sales manager sucked and full of bullsh*t so I went to hertz and bought the same vehicle that was certified with a little more mileage with an out the door price of $22958.00. My wife went to dealer on 12/21/21 to buy a car. She told them she could not afford a payment of more than $625 per month. They signed her to a contract on a 2022 Outlander SEL with a payment of $789 p told them she could not afford a payment of more than $625 per month. They signed her to a contract on a 2022 Outlander SEL with a payment of $789 per month. They told her to come back in January and they would refinance the loan to get the payment down to $625.00. We both went to the dealer on 1/15/22 to get the deal refinanced. We were in the dealership for 3 hours, while they were supposedly working on getting approval for the new loan. Demetrius told us to go home and they would call us when they had the deal approved. On 1/18/22, we called because no one had contacted us. We left messages everyday for the Salesrep and the Finance Manager from 1/18/22 to 1/28/22 and never received a call back. On 1/29/22, we visited the dealership again to find out what was going on with our refinance request. We were then told that the value of the car dropped from $45,000 to $28,000, therefore the loan could not be refinanced. The Salesman Demetrius advised he could not foresee the drop in value. I advised him that a new car drops in value the minute you drive it off the lot. I told him he had mislead my wife to get her to purchase the car. His solution was to offer to sell her a cheaper car at a higher interest rate and roll in the value deficit of the original car in to the new loan. This dealer obtained the car sales using deception, did not keep their commitment and provided no customer service when they would not return our phone calls. If you want to get ripped off, then you can buy a car from this dealer. If you are looking for honesty and customer service, then stay away from this dealer. More

Our sales rep and the finance rep were both very friendly and easy to get along with, not the typical people you find a a car dealer trying to up-sell anything they can to make an extra buck or two. It wasn't a high pressure dealership. I would drive from Austin again to purchase another vehicle here, it was well worth our time and effort. More
