Caused vehicle damage I bring my truck in, it is making a strange noise they figured out what it was and fixed that. But they called me and said my truck was out of alignment. The truck drove straight down the road and the steering wheel was straight. I trusted they were telling me the truth. I get it back and the steering wheel was completely crooked. I had to bring my truck back 3 more times and then I am told I need to buy a caster camber kit to straighten my steering wheel again. I left it with them again and finally they figured out how to move the steering wheel but then they moved it too far and it is off to the other side. I get around to washing my wheels over the weekend because this rain has finally stopped and i discover my wheels are ruined with scratches. There is a perfect circle of scratches on every wheel. I just bought these wheels in January and they were brand new. I come in and talk to the service manager he denies it over and over said its impossible they didn’t do it and their equipment does not touch the wheels. He also says they they have never damaged anyone's wheels like that before. I have him put the machine on the wheel it immediately touched the wheel exactly in the same size place where all the scratches are. He then says oh this has only happened one other time before. So he lied to me about the machine not touching the wheel and that they have never damaged anyone's wheels before. They admit to it and say they will fix my wheels. I pick my truck up wheels still have deep scratches in them and they will only admit to causing the damage that they could fix on my wheels. The service manager then tried to switch the machine they used on my vehicle so it would not line up with the scratches. This dealership is incredibly dishonest I would not trust them with anything. More

Thieves and crooks! Brought my Lincoln in for brakes. Got the vehicle back after a $1,200+ bill. When I asked, I was told that they didn't break it, and since the part is no longer manufactured, I would have to walk through a junk yard and pull my own off a wreck. Come to find out, my brakes were never changed and my sensor was gone!!! I had heard that cloninger stole hard to find parts off vehicles - I am living proof. Horrible people.. I am in contact with local media to expose their illegal practices. More

When we went to purchase the Escape later that day he said it was sold from their other dealership. We called the next day to the other dealership and it was NOT sold at all. Why did we get this kind of treatment? Such a huge disappointment for my son and a terrible experience! They didn't even find us one. We will never ever buy from Cloninger Ford of Hickory. Runs your credit without approval! My husband received a pre approval from Capital One Bank ( which we have already paid off 2 vehicles with) , wanting us to try Cloninger Ford. We went My husband received a pre approval from Capital One Bank ( which we have already paid off 2 vehicles with) , wanting us to try Cloninger Ford. We went to just look at vehicles, showed them the letter, and salesman said they use Capital One alot. Salesman asked for my husband info just to get him into the computer. BAD MISTAKE giving them the info! We looked & test drove 2 autos, which turned out to be more & higher payments then we told the salesman we could afford. My husband told him NO on both autos, and to call us if they got anything else in that would match our requirements. Very nice salesman, we thought. My husband's credit was never asked to be run, we never decided on a vehicle we wanted, so we left. Now my husband has 3 hits to his credit report for them running his credit with 3 different companies. Never signed any paperwork giving them permission to run a report. Not one of them was even Capital One! So unless you want your credit report ran before you even have a vehicle you want to try for, DON'T give them any of your info! We will never go there again! More
