I just purchased my 6th vehicle from Coastal Chevrolet Cadillac. Corvette, (2) Escalades, Equinox, Nissan Rouge, and today a 2014 Cadillac ATS. There are three main reasons I continue to do business with Cadillac. Corvette, (2) Escalades, Equinox, Nissan Rouge, and today a 2014 Cadillac ATS. There are three main reasons I continue to do business with Coastal. I shop around each time I purchase a car. I find it frustrating when car salesman talk down to me and/or flat out lie to me. The most frustrating part is thinking there are people that fall for this stuff. 1) All of my dealings with the sales manager Mark were great. He spoke truthful and stuck to the facts. He treated me with respect which quite frankly I require before I agree to spend $40,000.00. 2) They had the DEAL. They did not bait and switch me, put "fake" money in my trade in, or play a shell game with me. 3) As this is my 6th purchase I am very familiar with their service department. Nobody is perfect but these guys come close. When other dealers talk down to me, make up stories that I am liable for my car if I sell it on my own, etc. etc. it takes all of the fun out of the car buying experience. Coastal is not very close to my house but it continues to be well worth the trip. More
Everything that could be messed up got messed up. I signed all the papers for Pegasus pay, agreed on a monthly payment amount, and direct deposit. Sure enough, none of this was done and my payments are signed all the papers for Pegasus pay, agreed on a monthly payment amount, and direct deposit. Sure enough, none of this was done and my payments are much higher than we shook on. Of course, when I call and leave messages, no one returns my calls. They tried to give me the car with no floor mats that were part of the sticker on this model because they put them in a different car. I had to go back to the dealer many times because they wouldn't return my calls on their mistakes. I put over 500 miles on my brand new Altima because the only way to get any response is to show up there. These three all put everything off on each other when you need something done. I had to get corporate Nissan involved, and then they still never solved the issue. I am a huge fan of Nissan, but this dealer flat out lies about everything, especially the finance guy, Ben. It is NOT worth the agony! Integrity and accountability are key when dealing with people, and these guys are sketchy! More
Visited & bought a used car from this dealership after visiting website. We only buy from what we feel are reputable dealerships, not fly-by night buy-here-pay-here sites. We feel that staying with after visiting website. We only buy from what we feel are reputable dealerships, not fly-by night buy-here-pay-here sites. We feel that staying with these reputable dealerships will lend a more positive, HONEST experience. Everything was ok (friendliness) unitl we needed to use the powertrain warranty (3 month/3000 miles) this dealership told us they provided as part of their Coastal AdvantEDGE incentive on this car & all of their pre-owned vehicles (unless otherwise noted). After barely 2 weeks of driving the vehicle purchased, the water pump failed. We called to find out that the service department didn't see any warranty information. Geoff in service talked to sales manager who informed him that whatever our salesperson, Rose, told us was incorrect. After speaking with Geoff, asked to be transferred to sales manager to work throught this problem, got voicemail and NO RETURN PHONE CALL. Also left voicemail for salesperson, Rose, and again got NO RETURN PHONE CALL. So, the pre-owned vehicle we purchased has actually been in the shop twice within a week, the first issue a faulty trunk latch that Coastal Nissan said they fixed (more like patched), which we fixed with no major complaints since it is a used car and we know things do happen. However, this dealership flat out LIED about their Coastal AdvantEDGE incentive and we feel the overall condition of this vehicle. WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP AGAIN OR HAVE ANYTHING POSITIVE TO SAY ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE OR THEIR ETHICS. More

I would not recommend asking for a on-line quote - I never got one. Ben did asked me about my trade in - would like a picture and VIN number - but I told him we would do that later or come by the de never got one. Ben did asked me about my trade in - would like a picture and VIN number - but I told him we would do that later or come by the dealership for them to check the vehicle but for now I wanted a quote for a Chevrolet LTZ w/1LZ - I provided all required spec.. - no quote. I did get the following e-mail. "This is Shawn from Coastal Chevrolet and I know that Ben has emailed you about the 2012 Malibu. I would like to talk to you about the New 2013 Malibu that will be here in a month or so and why it may be a good reason to wait. Please call me when you get a chance to talk about it. New look, better gas mileage (37-39mpg) and much better technoligy all around" I am not sure why they have a interest department? More
Bait and switch pricing tactics combined with an overly rude sales manager = never again, and neither should you! Sales team inflated prices by close to $2,000 over what their own website had set as a sel rude sales manager = never again, and neither should you! Sales team inflated prices by close to $2,000 over what their own website had set as a selling price. Went so far as to contact the GM of the dealership who offered no apology or assistance. Save yourself the time and aggravation and shop elsewhere! More
