We met George when we came back for a 2nd look and a test drive. We briefly introduced ourselves and He arranged the test drive quickly and pleasantly. After the test drive we had a few questions regarding the Truck's past ownership and maintenance. George was patient and showed he understood our caution about purchasing a used vehicle by telling us about the previous owner's care and maintenance and backing it up with a print out of the maintenance records, all done by the dealership, for us to review. An Outstanding Purchase Experience My wife and I have been researching a new truck to replace our sixteen year old Ford disel Excursion. Being avid campers, when I retired, we purchase My wife and I have been researching a new truck to replace our sixteen year old Ford disel Excursion. Being avid campers, when I retired, we purchased a new 28 foot Airstream Travel Trailer (to upgrade our Coleman tent) and utilized the Excursion to haul it initially. It did an excellent job over our first summer of regional traveles; however, we were planning on increasing our travels. Being 16 years old, we were concerned about using it for these types of longer trips; in addition, our son wanted it for his first vehicle. I had been utilizing another Ford dealer for both the Excursion and my business vehicles (some 20+ of them) and of course went to that dealer when I wanted to purchase a new truck for us. That dealer did not work with us on the price, would not provide a bottom line (purchase price, taxes, plates, etc.) when it was requested, and they acted as if I was imposing on them to provide one. I had heard of Colonial Ford from some of my friends who had similar experiences with that same other dealer. They had expressed their complete satisfaction with Colonial Ford. When I first contacted Coloinial Ford by phone, I talked to Dwight Coblazo and explained what we was looking for. We do not turn vehicles over often and like our Excursion, wanted to order a vehicle specifically the way we wanted it, color options, engine, rear end, tires, rims, etc. Dwight had us e-mail our specifications to him (again we had been researching them for years). He immediatly said that a truck of this nature would need to be ordered as nothing on the lot would meet all of our specifications. THERE WAS NO HIGH PREASURE OF ANY TYPE, to the contrary, he was very easy to deal with. Dwight turned us over to Art Guertin who eventually handled the sale. Art was able to provide information that helped identify other things for consideration after which he e-mailed us a proposal showing exactly what we wanted to the last detail and how much each item cost. Once we verified everything, he immediatly was able to give us a bottom line including everything to the penny. The price he quoted us was significantly less than the origional dealer we contacted. Within a few days, we put down a deposit and the truck was ordered. Even though we were ordering a truck, he found one on the lot as close to our order as they had and allowed my daughter and I to take a test drive; an excellent experience for both of us. During the entire process, he contacted us each time he had status information and gave us his personal mobil phone number should we have any questions or concerns. The truck was delivered ahead of time and was perfect; exactly the way we ordered it. Additional rebates became available which he helped us take advantage of. The final price was actually LOWER than origionally quoted. Prior to delivery, he helped arrange for an outside company to add hidden paint protection and Simonize the entire vehicle. Shane Conroy helped us with all the paperwork and changed the original documents to joint ownership which we wanted. At our request, he went through several extended warranty options and offered significantly reduced prices on them. There was never any preasure to purchase any of them. Our experience at Colonial Ford was absolutely excellent. We are looking to purchase an Explorer and will deffently be contacting Art when we are ready. He even had us take out a new Explorer for a test drive which we really appreciated. We have no negative comments about Colonial Ford. It was refreshing to be treated with respect and honesty. More
