When I was negotiating the purchase of my Hyundai Santa Fe Sport I stressed how important the after sale service was to me because I like to properly maintain my vehicles. I also inquired about a loaner program in case I needed to leave my car for a full day of service. The sales team indicated there was a cost to being a part of the loaner program and we negotiated that cost down from their standard rate. The first time I needed a loaner car I was told they did not have any AT ALL to offer their customers. The next time I was told it depended on whether they had any available and that it was best to schedule several weeks in advance. Every time I brought my car in for service there was some kind of recall that needed to be addressed. The last straw for me was when I brought my car in for a simple oil change and when I brought it home it was leaking oil. More
