I locked into a truck and then once I got home we realized the car seats wouldn't fit in the back, needless to say the wife and I were stressed. I texted JD our salesman and the response was "no problem". I met the manager there the following day and they restructured the deal to a vehicle that perfectly suited my needs. Couldn't be happier. Going to replace the wife's car next year, we're only shopping at one location. More

Nelson & Jose took the time to listen to what I thought I wanted, and showed me some options. Ultimately, I ended up buying something different than what I planned, but I do not regret the choice - Jose took the time to explain the differences in the models I was choosing, how the financing would impact the bottom line, and was super patient while I tried to decide. financing was a breeze - this is my 3rd TMCC loan, so I do think that helps to have a history. my only criticism is the length of time I had to wait for the registration to be completed - - but it WAS a busy Saturday, so it was to be expected. They even took care of my old plates & cancelled the registration for me! Overall, I highly recommend Colonial - not only do they provide a pleasant buying experience, but their service department is top notch . I had always shied away from getting service done at the dealer , but I find their prices to be fair, the wait time reasonable and, even on the rare occasion when I was "that"customer, they have always gone above & beyond to make sure I was satisfied with the service. unquestonably a dealership with integrity and honor Of the 20 or so dealerships I have purchased/lead from over the past 3 decades, I have to rate Colonia Toyota at the top of my list for several reason Of the 20 or so dealerships I have purchased/lead from over the past 3 decades, I have to rate Colonia Toyota at the top of my list for several reasons: a. Being the largest dealership in CT, their pricing can't be beat. No other dealership could match their offers. b. Showroom is immaculate and customer friendly. c. NO high pressure tactics, which is a rarity in this business. They do not browbeat you or try to upsell you things you don't need. d. Friendly and courteous. e. Responsive. When they say they will email or call you back at a certain time, they live up to their promise. Overall, my experience with this dealership is nothing short of outstanding and I will continue to do business with them every time my Toyota lease comes up for renewal. Norm p.s. Our sales rep, Nick Shala, was courteous, pleasant, diligent, responsive and, most importantly, completely transparent with my wife and I throughout the entire transaction. When it comes time to dishing out salary increases and bonuses, I sure hope that management takes care of him financially and recognizes his level of contribution toward building and maintaining customer loyalty. We are very pleased with the level of service that we received from Mr Shala. 10 out of 10! More

Nick Shala made me feel perfectly comfortable. He arranged for me to test drive the truck on my own given the pandemic. He answered all of my questions and promised to locate a vehicle that matched my need from another dealership (something that two other Toyota dealerships had failed to do). We shook hands (figuratively) on the price and terms of the deal and I went home thinking that maybe I had been naive... I was wrong again! Three days later, I picked up my truck, signed all the paperwork without any surprise, and drove home happy. Kudos to Nick Shala, to his manager Danny Pagan and to Eric Sharf in Finance who also demonstrated there is something different and good about Colonial Toyota. More

He made everything simple and made sure I took enough of a test drive to get comfortable and understand things like carplay (neat!) and safety features. The entire test drive and purchase process probably took 2 hours -- really fantastic. He even dropped the car off, made sure it was detailed etc. No pressure, no complaints! More

I had a great no pressure, laid back experience, the salesman who worked with me is ed. Rude and unjustifiable math! I leased a 2017 Highlander back in 2017 with option to buy. My lease is up in September and I wanted to buy out my lease and in my contract it said af I leased a 2017 Highlander back in 2017 with option to buy. My lease is up in September and I wanted to buy out my lease and in my contract it said after making all 36 payments I would need to finance around $26k. I went in and inquired about how much I needed to finance to buy it out and since it's still 3 months left to the lease it was around $27k, it all made sense. The salesman, Nelson was nice and then his manager, Erick came along, he was nice too. When it got time to discuss the payments he was talking about how there were added fees like, registering the car under my name, taxes etc. (which I didn't know I had to repay them again when I had done so in 2017) but it still made sense, I understood. There was no 0% APR promotion on buying out my lease, or for financing a 2020 Highlander and APR would start around 4. Erick then said that my monthly payments would be $534 for 72 months, doing the math that's $38,448. I was shocked at this point because I didn't understand how we went from $27k ($26k on my initial contract) to $38k! He couldn't really answer my question and called his manager, Hastrit Celaj. He showed us some documents where indeed there was some numbers typed in showing if I wanted to buyout my lease it would be the $38,448. I was upset at this point and asked him how was it possible that I had to finance $38,448 and taking into account the $15k that I had paid in the past 3 years for the lease, totaling $53k for a 2017! He said yes that how much it is but couldn't justify the numbers. I said you are telling me that a 2020 highlander is $40k and that my 2017 highlander is $38! My husband was with me and thankfully he also did the math and said something wasn't adding up. He said to my husband "sir do you sell cars for a living?" and my husband replied "no, but the numbers aren't adding up" and he said "ok, so you don't know what you're talking about" and my husband got up and said he would go elsewhere and he said "yeah, go somewhere else" he was very rude! We then drove to the Toyota of Westport and it was a total different experience and let me tell you THAT I WILL NOT BE PAYING $53K!!! Please don't waste your time with Colonial and if so, make sure you ask all the questions and get a justifiable answer! More
