Jason was fantastic. I was really nervous about buying a new car and also indecisive. I never felt pushed by him. He walked me through the steps and made it feel easy. I trusted him completely. My first contact was online and I did the full financing app and then was contacted by phone. I was told that my credit rating would open me to more financing options than normal, inclduing those I had see app and then was contacted by phone. I confirmed that they had vehicles that would fit my needs and the financing plan. I was on a short timeline(my mistake) so I showed up more or less ready to buy. I had done substantial research on the vehicle I was looking for so I wasn't a complete babe in the woods. Salesman was new and didn't have all his facts straight and wasn't the best listener but ok, I found a vehicle I liked and that fit my description. I got a good deal on the vehicle--nothing spectacular but solid. Negotiations ensue and I'm told they have no record of my financing app mentioned previously, and that the vehicle doesn't qualify for the financing I had discussed before anyway. So someone was bs'ing me somewhere along the line. Long and short is that I buy the car that night at a price I was comfortable with. When I go to pick up a few days later at a pre-arranged time the car isn't exactly ready. Tank isn't full, sticker hasn't been received, and there was an upholstery issue. I got credits for the teank and sticker but that meant I needed to do that on my own time. I pick up the car but I need to go back a week later for service for the upholstery issue--again if I hadn't pushed the issue it didn't seem like anything would happen and when I did show up for that service the service folks didn't seem to have a record of me. A call tomy salesman straightened things out but not exactly a good first service experience. Love the vehicle not a huge fan of the dealership. During purchase I had my dad with me, who had an expressed interest in buying also, so I figured they would have really tried to do right by me but it was just ok. That said, the car is sweet and I'm loving it. More

They gave me a fair market price for my trade, and gave me the new car for invoice price. Very little haggling. More
When I sent out information to 3 different VW dealers in the Boston area, Jason was the first to respond. He immediately found the car I had requested, a 2011 Golf 4 door. Over the phone and with emails, we were able to quickly set up the purchase. In less than a week, I was able to go to the dealership and buy the car. Through out the entire process, I was impressed with his very positive and enthusiastic attitude. He made me feel that I could rely on him to get me the best price and the extras I wanted. He was friendly, sincere, professional and clearly dedicated to doing his best to make sure that I got everything I needed. He explained every step of the process, and made me feel comfortable and confident. I was also very impressed by Anna, who went through the numbers with me, and also made sure that I understood what was involved every step of the way. The people I met at Colonial were friendly and welcoming. I never felt for a moment that I was a mere customer. but that I had made some new friends. My past experience with car dealers has made me a bit wary, but I feel that I can trust these fine folks to continue to treat me in both a professional as well as personal manner, as I return to them for maintenance and service. I emailed back and forth with Jason for a few weeks prior to coming in and I was really impressed with how quickly he responded, his honesty and how willing he was to talk me through the whole process. When I got to the dealership Bill was very welcoming and walked me through the whole process, making sure I understood everything. He worked with me to get a good deal and he thoroughly described the financing so I could make an educated decision. Anna was also fantastic as she explained the whole financing process and my options- I really appreciate all the time and energy she put into helping me understand my options!! When I first told my parents I wanted to buy a new car my dad told me to choose a dealership that felt right in my gut- this dealership stuck out from the first day I emailed and I am thrilled with my choice. It was also very important to me that I didn't at any point feel cornered or 'bait and switched' during the sales process (which more than happened at other dealerships). I worked with Gregory Cohen, who sold me a 2010 Jetta Limited. Greg was incredibly upfront about what I was getting with the vehicle, and printed out a copy of the invoice (including what the dealership paid for the vehicle). Greg was incredibly knowledgable about the VW I was purchasing, and put in the extra effort to make sure this vehicle was a great fit for me. I would recommend working with Greg for new car sales in the future. I also worked with Anna Giacalone, who helped me with financing my car loan. I'm a new car owner with a relatively limited credit history, but Anna really took the time to work with me to explore my options, and personally called several banks to make sure I got a good financing deal. I would recommend working with Anna for financing in the future. More

My wife traded in her 8year old car for a new Pussat. Sean O'connor was our Salesman and he was terrific. He gave us the opportunity to look around test drive a car and made us feel like we were really relaxed in this whole car leasing process. We traded in our car and got a great lease rate for three years. We even had money left over to save from our trade and we will save it for our next lease in three years. Sean is a great guy and should be complimented . My wife is so happy with her new Passat and we will spread the Good word about Colonial Volkswagon of Medford. We are customers for life. I can't say enough about this place!! I had never bought a car from a dealer before (always bought my older brother's car from him when he upgraded!). I bought my 2006 VW Golf there 6 weeks ago. I called about the car and was able to test drive the same day. Anya was the sales person and she could not have been friendlier. She was extremely knowledgeable about the car and the whole process. I really felt comfortable with her. She made the whole experience easy. She walked me through the dealership and garage and answered all of my many questions. She did not try to up-sell and was very respectful of my price range and interest. The whole office staff was also very welcoming. They gave me time to think about it (3 weeks) without being pushy. I had to bring the car back in two days after I bought it to get the 12 volt fixed. They knew I was in a hurry and the mechanics and staff had me out of there in an hour on a busy day. It was a hot day as well and the owner of the dealer brought all the employees slush and offered me one as well. It's the most welcoming waiting room I've been in in a long time. All the employees seemed to get along well and there's a very friendly vibe in the whole establishment. They helped with financing and all the paperwork -they take care of EVERYTHING from registration and inspection to changing the plates - Anya even personally scrubbed my old plates so they'd look clean on my 'new' car. I would gladly send my own mother here to buy a car and know that she would be in good hands. More

I had a car i had researched on their website, and he had the car ready for me to test drive by the time i d and made it a pressure-free experience.
