Best dealer experience thus far So, I'll admit that I'm not a huge fan of the car-buying process. I'm always tuned into body language and how genuine someone is being, and in sales, So, I'll admit that I'm not a huge fan of the car-buying process. I'm always tuned into body language and how genuine someone is being, and in sales, it's just not in the pre-requisites to be down to earth and realistic....at least that's been my experience. I arrived at Colonial on a whim and was just browsing some vehicles that I felt would be good winter cars. Well, I ended up leaving with one, and it was not due to some smooth sales techniques...I know what I want and when I feel comfortable, and at Colonial, my point-man hit the perfect balance of both during our interaction. I was fortunate enough to land a beautiful (very) gently used Volvo S60, and had the absolute pleasure of working with Connor Bayliss. I hope that if Connor stays in the car-sales business, he always keeps me in the loop of what dealership he's at--because I would follow whereever he goes to purchase a car. He was a professional, laid back, realistic vehicle representative. He was not a "typical" sales person...and for that reason, my experience was excellent. He even laughed at my warped sense of humor (for no extra charge!) I also have to sing the praises of Kathryn in the finance department...With past car purchases, I've noticed that the finance department is typically geared to up-sell the different products, but again--Kathryn was down to earth and super helpful. She gave me her opinion of which services she though might benefit me, but did not make me feel like I was the xxxx-of-the-earth for declining an extended warranty and extra-key service (which I had experienced at a competitor's finance department some time ago). In fact, I am very sad to have had to bid farewell to Kathryn and Connor, because I could see myself carrying on long term friendships with them both based on their jovial personalities! More

I had spoken with Jeff Crown a few times through email who was very responsive; however, I ended up speaking with Derek Paquette instead (as Jeff was not working that particular day). Derek has a very easy-going personality, making me feel comfortable immediately. I never felt pushed in one direction vs another, which from past experiences purchasing cars, was fully prepared for. Instead, I felt like I had brought a friend with me to buy a car. I highly recommend asking for Derek if you are in the market for a new or used car. I am very happy with the entire experience. More
