This was my first purchase of a new car, have always bought used prior to purchasing this 2014 Jetta Sportwagen TDI. Was expecting the experience to be a lot more painful than it was. I visited another dealership in MA after seeing a very good deal on a 2013 GLI. However when I visited the dealership the sales staff and Finance Manager were overbearing and not very friendly. The deal they were offering on my trade in was what I felt below my goal. Not to mention the new car had over 600 miles on it already. They told me I'd never be able to find the same deal on the GLI anywhere as they were a top volume dealership. The next morning I decided to do more research on line and came across the same exact car at Colonial. I decided to call the dealership and was connected to salesman David Thatcher. I told him about the vehicle and price at the other dealership and David told me he would see what he could do as the price was very low for the new car. He called me back within an hour, confirmed they do have the vehicle and said he could match the low offer. I drove to the dealership that afternoon. Colonial gave me a better offer on my car and the deal was completed. I would definitely recommend Colonial VW to potential buyers, even if you have to travel a distance as I did. They are definitely doing things correctly and making the awkward new car buying experience easier. More

I had been working with Patrick Volkswagen in Auburn trying to capitalize on the year end deal for the 2014 Passat. When I went in the atmosphere was depressing and the salesmen seemed disinterested. They told me the payments would be $220 but when they ran the numbers it came out to nearly $400. I decided to give them another chance by coming back and they basically shoo'd me away and said they were "too busy" to sell me a car. Can you believe it? A car salesmen too busy to sell cars? After being completely fed up, I decided to drive 10 miles farther to Colonial. The building was way nicer than Patrick and walking in I got welcomed right away. Mike came up and I explained to him the deal I wanted along with the adjustments. He pulled out a calculator and gave me a number but assured me nothing was final until he got a business manager involved. In a few days I get a phone call from Mike saying that the car I wanted with the deal I wanted was a go. When the paperwork was finally done, the monthly payments was a dollar less than the number he gave me that first day. I was amazed at the level of accuracy. Not only was Mike incredibly accommodating, he also made arrangements to set me up with a VW dealer in California for when I move. Our family have boughten many cars and I've never experienced the incredible level of service I received at Colonial VW. I would definitely recommend anyone interested in purchasing a Volkswagen to skip Patrick and go to Colonial, it'll definitely be worth it. More
