Ok, Just purchased a new VW/TDI. I had done the background work so the buying was picking a dealer based on location, price and service. I consider myself an informed buyer however I thought I better prepare for a grueling WWF cage match with hot lights and tag team closers. Wrong, at least at this dealer. It was about as easy as car buying gets. First, I had the car specs down, so no need to get mixed up comparing models,options and prices. I made a few calls to other local dealers and had a pretty good idea where the price point was for the car I wanted. Where Colonial earned my business is in setting up the deal with Jeff Crown, a customer contact manager, that placed some of the metrics of the deal in their CRM system. From there I dropped into the Dealership and made contact with Chris-Allen Tattrie. Between the two an easy negociation to a win x win sale. The financial paperwork with Tom Brouillard was easy and as I left I had to remind myself I had just bought a car...I had the feeling I stopped by to talk to a few buddies. Getting out the door with Chris explaining all the systems in the car was great. He paired phones and sent my wife on her way...to enjoy her new VW. More

Chris's sales experience shows....his knowledge of VW and the Passat was impressive while keeping the sales process customer focused, yet absent of high pressure tactics which was much appreciated. I had a GREAT experience with Colonial Volkswagen and with Chris Tattrie in particular. After an exhaustive search, I had all but given up on Volkswagen (my first choice car) because of a bad experience with Chris Tattrie in particular. After an exhaustive search, I had all but given up on Volkswagen (my first choice car) because of a bad experience at a different VW dealership...a co-worker highly recommended Colonial and told me to at least call. Chris answered the call, heard me out re: what I wanted and what I needed for price, etc. He said he would get back to me within the hour with an aggressive deal. He called me back in 20 minutes with a great deal and an offer to come in and meet him. Chris was knowledgable, friendly and courteous. He treated me like a human being and repeatedly asked questions to make sure I would be happy with the car I selected and to make sure that I understood all of its features. The trade-in and financing processes were painless and I was able to sit and enjoy a chair massage while I waited! At pick-up of the car, Chris introduced me to the Service Department folks I will be dealing with in the future and explained every detail of the car before I drove off the lot. No one enjoys car shopping, but Chris Trattrie made me excited about what had previously been a frustrating process. I look forward to a long relationship with Colonial VW. THANK YOU CHRIS! More
