I was interested in the Jetta Sportwagen but not sure if it would be large enough for my family and undecided on gasoline or diesel. He explained the difference between the gas and diesel engines and transmissions in terms I could understand, then had me test drive both to see which I liked driving. He wasn't pushy, he didn't point out frivolous things like cupholders and he waited for me to ask questions about the little things. He didn't make me feel rushed during the test drive and let me go where I wanted. When I told him at the end of that first visit that I wasn't ready to buy, or even talk numbers, he didn't push me, he simply asked me when I'd like to come back to and made an appointment. And when that time came, the process of negotiating a deal with painless; we came to an agreement that fit my expectations and my budget. Pierre spent over an hour with me after we closed the deal, showing me how everything worked and helping me pair my phone and get the technical stuff squared away. I'm three weeks in with the new car and I love it; we took it to visit family over the holidays and had plenty of space for humans, canines and gifts, confirming our initial inspection of the car. And we got great gas mileage to boot! I told Pierre and Chris when I picked up the car that while I'd never had a "bad" experience buying a car, I'd never had a "great" one - until I went to Colonial. We went to the dealership just to look at a VW Golf. We had just come from another dealership with our mind all set to purchase a vehicle there.
