This was by far the best auto transaction I have had. The only slight issue was the finance guy, who was pretty aggressive in trying to sell me a customized warranty. I know that is not unusual, but it leaves a bad taste, which is too bad because the rest of the transaction was really A+. I decided to give it all 5's anyway because Rick was so easy to work with. Our visit to Colonial Volkswagen of Westborough was a great experience! There are many options on VW dealerships to choose from in our area. In researching the vehicles we were interested in ahead of time, we knew the basics of the cars we were looking for. We were interested in the TDi models, specifically the 2012 VW Golf TDi. We decided to visit Colonial Volkswagen of Westborough after reviewing ratings such as these found on the web. We were met by Pierre Saliba. Pierre was a pleasure to work with. We told him what we were interested in looking at. We have never owned a VW vehicle, so the questions we had were answered professionally by Pierre. We test drove the 2012 VW Golf TDi they had on their lot. We then drove a 2012 VW Passat TDi. The final TDi car we needed to test drive was the 2012 VW Jetta TDi. The dealership had one inside the showroom but none outside on the lot. Pierre took the time to get that vehicle out of the showroom to test drive. You might think to yourself that they would do anything to make a sale, but in being at other dealerships buying other new cars in the past, this would have never happened! In the end, we decided on the 2012 VW Golf TDi. There was no pressure at all in the buying experience. When we sat down to make the deal, it was effortless, we knew what we wanted for our trade and what a fair price would be for the vehicle. The deal was done in about five minutes. The color of the vehicle was not on their lot, but Pierre found one and had the arrangements made for delivery in the time period we requested. The delivery of the car to us was seamless. Shane in the finance department was also a pleasure to work with and was prompt in having all paperwork completed and ready. He made sure we were completely satisfied with everything about the financial end of the deal and answered all our questions. Pierre went thru the car with us and set up a time for us to have the first checkup of the car. In purchasing a vehicle an obvious department that needs to be addressed within a dealership is the Service Department, since that is where your vehicle will be taken care of. We met with Adam who was knowledgeable about the specifics of our car. We look forward to having our vehicle serviced at Colonial Volkswagen of Westborough. This was a very pleasant buying experience. We actually had a good deal on different car at a local delership. My 2004 Touareg experienced transmission and acceleration issues but no codes. First Bill and John worked on it - then Adam and Kevin figured out the fix. To Bill and John's credit we did not know what was going on and I followed their recommendation to wait a bit longer until symptoms got worst - no charge for the advice. Many other shops would have probably fixed nothing and charged a lot. Once it got worse Adam and Kevin worked tireless for more than week trouble shooting the problem. To their credit they thought of the non-obvious things that turned out to be correct. After replacing a pump and fuel filters the car runs better than new. The guys saved me a fortune. Thank you! Time in and time out best overall service experience I have had. Each time I bring my daughters car in service exceeds my expectations. Colonial VW of Westborough service dept. was fast, friendly and most important: competent. The technicians were very knowledgeable regarding the VW TDI model I brought in, specifically relating to som friendly and most important: competent. The technicians were very knowledgeable regarding the VW TDI model I brought in, specifically relating to some codes about emissions specific to diesel engines. When they could not immediately identify the cause of the check engine light and the codes the computer threw, they were on the phone with VW HQ to get answers on how to address my problem. I had previously brought my vehicle to another local VW dealer service department and they could not fix the problem. Ultimately, I had to get a rejection sticker on the car showing that the CEL was in fact preventing my car from passing inspection. I can speak highly enough about the service team in Westborough and I will be bringing my car to them for all future maintenance. More
