This was our first time buying a new car so we test drove different vehicles over the course of months. We narrowed the choice down to a 2012 VW GLI Autobahn w/NAV and luckily Colonial Volkswagen of Westbor different vehicles over the course of months. Over President's Day weekend, we worked with Brendan on the test drive and sales process. He was easy to talk with and found the answers if he didn't know something. I appreciated that because it is usually obvious if a Sales person doesnt know the answer. We worked with Chris on the finance aspects and he was also very helpful reviewing the various add-on coverage options at the end of the sale. We didn't feel a lot of pressure from them but there was a little (as most sales processes have). We also received a decent value for our trade-in. I would recommend this dealership to a friend. I want you to know I will NEVER EVER EVER on planet earth purchase another VW automobile again. I am sorry I purchased my Beetle in 2006. I have had NUMEROUS problems including heating, air conditioning but most recently I had two light issues. One was a fog lite that came out. VW said they would have to take the entire thing apart and would charge me about $400. I took it to an auto part guy I know and he did it for $15 bucks. It gets worse. Earlier in the week I noticed a headlight out. So I took it to two mechanics I know who both said VW headlights are a horrible things to have to work with to even get to the light. This is just a light!!! So I called Colonial VW who said the same thing i.e. if others said it would cost me $400 bucks then they could not do any better. Are you kidding me for a rotten light bulb--$400 bucks??? I was furious. So I called VW National who would do nothing for me despite the fact that I said I was interested in getting a new car soon. Customer satisfaction made NO difference. Well it made a difference to one of my repair persons because they replaced TWO for $179 bucks. You can be sure any time I can I will give VW NEGATIVE reviews to every one I know including online as I am very computer savvy. Moreover, I am handicapped and could not drive a vehicle with no headlight at night! I am told VW parts are very difficult to fix and expensive. This is the LAST absolutely LAST time I will EVER purchase a VW again and if I could ditch it and get something else right now I would. What a LOUSY engineered car. VW STINKS for my money! You will NEVER see me again. EVER. More

I have been a service customer of Colonial VW for 4 years, and they have taken great care of my 2006 Jetta TDI. As a result of my good experience with the service department, when it was time to replac years, and they have taken great care of my 2006 Jetta TDI. Walking into a car dealership is always a very nerve racking, annoying and something I really never want to do again process. Well, things kind of changed for us when we walked into Colonial. Pierre was our salesperson, he asked us what we were looking for and took us on test drive. Needless to say we loved what we drove :) and hence decided to go ahead and make the purchase. We negotiated the price - I thought we are going to spend 2 hours minimum going back and forth with the sales person and then the manager will come and whole nine yards. It was not the case here, which not only surprised me but made me happy too. Pierre went back to manager twice and then the manager came out...literally 10 mins he heard our argument in terms of why we wanted to pay what we wanted to pay and guess what he agreed! 10 minutes? reallyy - it was kind of surreal. The car combination that we wanted (exterior and interior color) was not available and hence Pierre worked diligently to make sure we get what we wanted. It took him 5 days to get us the color that we wanted and the wait was worth it. Definitely a dealership and sales person we would recommend. The follow up was amazing. 2 emails within 5 days of getting the car. They were honest and upfront from the very get go. Made the most dreadful experience a very pleasurable one, I think that speaks for itself. Pierre will always be our go to person and we shall recommend him and the dealership to all our friends and family. More

My wife and I flew from Chicago to this dealership to purchase a hard to find vehicle that they had in stock. When we test drove the vehicle a problem arose with the engine, stranded without transportat purchase a hard to find vehicle that they had in stock. When we test drove the vehicle a problem arose with the engine, stranded without transportation or lodging Colonial paid for a rental car and offered to pay for our hotel room (I refused this gesture) and got the car fixed properly. We drove the vehicle home (960 miles) without any problem. The entire time they were extremely courteous, helpful, and genuinely concerned about our welfare and they took excellent care of us. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone. The price was great too! More
