This was the fourth car I have purchased in 10 years due to my increasing family size (4 daughters). We called Commonwealth after receiving a quote from another dealership to trade in out 2007 Suburban to m to my increasing family size (4 daughters). We called Commonwealth after receiving a quote from another dealership to trade in out 2007 Suburban to make sure we had gotten the best deal (we didn't think so...) and we were right! When we called, we were fortunate to speak to Lamar on the phone. We came to Commonwealth that day.....and purchased our new car within the hour. I have never been so impressed with a dealership. Every single employee that we interacted with was absolutely amazing. Lamar was honest and fair and when he went to "work the numbers" he told us that he would give us the best possible price without the game of haggling. It was so refreshing. Not only was the monthly payment $50.00 less than the other dealership, this car had more features like a back up camera, back up sensors, the rear DVD player and more. It was unbelievable. The car had to be shipped from NY and true to his word, Lamar kept us updated on the progress and called us often to tell us where the car was and when it would be ready. This was particularly important because we were driving to Disney and needed the car to be ready in time. The DVD system had to be installed and Lamar was persistent and made sure the car was ready and perfect on the day promised. When we went in to do the paperwork, we worked with a woman named Karen who was also unbelievable. She made sure we had everything we needed (like GAP insurance) and made it fit into our monthly payment so we would be covered in case of an accident. I literally wanted to cry she was so nice and helpful and really took care of us. I brought the car in once for service for something related to the installation of the DVD player (Commonwealth had nothing to do with it). They asked me WHEN I would like to bring it in...made the appointment, took me immediately and fixed the problem. It was the best customer service I have ever received. Lamar heard we were there, he came to the service department to say "hello" and make sure everything was OK. Likewise, other employees that had seen us there when we were buying the car, saw us and REMEMBERED us and our girls and were so friendly. This place is unbelievable. I have recommended this dealership to all of my family and friends and will NEVER buy a car from anywhere else. This is the most amazing and impressive dealership and I highly recommend it to everyone! More
I purchased a 2010 Avalanche. I traded in my older one and love the truck. I had NO problems not one or any situations that were negative with this dealership or any sales person that I spoke too. They do really good oil changes and gave me some extra keys for the car. I crashed my car and went back to buy another one of the same kind becuase they are so kind and friendly to deal with. Needed an oil change and tire rotation, service dept opens at 7:00 Am, very convenient to get things done before work. Mike (service guy)was friendly and had me in an out quickly. i am a returning customer to commonwealth chevy. i bought a silverto truck in 2009 and alex was my sales person i had great service and was so happy that i bought a 2010 equinox yesterday. i will be a return a silverto truck in 2009 and alex was my sales person i had great service and was so happy that i bought a 2010 equinox yesterday. i will be a returning customer and will always go to commonwealth chevy for all my needs. i came with a sick husband "has bone cancer and trouble walking" and alex made it as easy and pleasant as possible. got a great price, was very happy with my all over experiance. especially with the time alex took to explain all the new features that i had in my car even though he was done for the day he took all the time i needed and help me set up my bluetooth for my phone great sales rep and brian is a great manager. s lwowski More

MICHAEL WROTE UP THE PAPER WORK QUICKLY & EASILY & SAID IT SHOULD BE READY IN ABOUT 1 & 1/2 HR. I SAID CALL ME & I'LL PICK IT UP. LESS THAN 1 HR LATER I GOT HIS CALL & PICKED IT UP. CHECKED THE OIL & FI IT SHOULD BE READY IN ABOUT 1 & 1/2 HR. I SAID CALL ME & I'LL PICK IT UP. LESS THAN 1 HR LATER I GOT HIS CALL & PICKED IT UP. CHECKED THE OIL & FILTER & EVERYTHING WAS GREAT!! THIS IS THE 7TH CAR I'VE PURCHASED FROM COMMONWEALTH & HAVE HAD THEM SERVICE. THEY ARE GRREEAAAAATTTTTTTT!!! THANKS AGAIN BOB More

My experience was a few years ago, and I have not been back since. The salesman was Ed (a retired policeman)...so he said. Got to the point of making a deal, but when we went back outside the car door back since. The salesman was Ed (a retired policeman)...so he said. Got to the point of making a deal, but when we went back outside the car door had been scratched. Ed said "dont worry" he would have the scratch buffed out so I would not even know it was there. Came back a few days later and something did not look right. Ed tried to bully me into taking the car, insisting he had other customers waiting for this very car. I did not want this car anymore. I found out later they had changed the door not buff it. (Ed lied to me about that, among his many other lies) Ed had already taken a $1000 deposit from me. He said I had to wait two weeks for the check to clear before I could get my money back. I checked with my bank a week later and the check had cleared back on the 2nd day after I turned down the car. Ed insisted I would still have to wait the full two weeks. After two weeks I call and ask Ed if the check is ready. He says yes, so I come in. Take time off from work to drive in, only to find the check has not been signed, and the guy that needs to sign it is out for three days. Three days later I take time off from work again, this time I'm told the check has to be signed by two people, and one of them is out today. By now I have spent hours online researching GM corporate to get the appropriate phone number and made a few calls to them. I even left a message on the dealership owner's machine about my unhappy experience. I just found dealrater.com this weekend. My experience with Commonwealth was so upsetting I remember all the details clearly to this day. I am so happy to be able to publish this now!!! It has been over 5 years and Ed is probably gone. But Brian still appears in the current ads. I'm sure he remembers me, am I right Brian? More
