The Bait and Switch of Honda Certified Pre-owned I love my new car and I believe even with the sneaky addition of $995. I got a good deal! My car was listed as $16,490...I came to see and test drive I love my new car and I believe even with the sneaky addition of $995. I got a good deal! My car was listed as $16,490...I came to see and test drive it and it was exactly the car I was looking for...When I went to make the deal the finance manager, Mr. Steven Morales said I could not buy this car without paying an additional $995. for the Honda pre-owned certification and that this certification would extend the power tran warrantee to 100,000 miles from 60,000 and that it would give me a one a one year bumper to bumper warrantee as well...this sounded like I was buying an additional package! Instead of listing it as an additional purchase they added the $995 to the purchase price...so what's my problem???? If they had said upfront, Ms. Faver this car is really $995 more because of the Honda certification or had they put an asterisk on the purchase price letting anyone who was really looking know about the additional charge I would be fine with this dealership...but I felt like I was baited and switched, so for as much as I enjoyed dealing with Moe Seyam this practice, which some people seem to think, is done by everyone...has made it so that I would not recommend doing business with Coral Springs Honda. 1st Time at CSAM Ricardo was great to deal with. Answered all my questions and went out of his way help me out. Overall experience was good. People I met with were fri Ricardo was great to deal with. I would recommend other to look into your dealership should I learn about anyone interested in getting into a new car. I am in the customer service industry and know it is helpful to know not only the good but also the not so good. So I offer these two observations during my day at your shop: 1. I thought the insurance guy who helped me out was not very interested in his job. I ended up just calling my insurance company myself and getting him what he needed. Not sure you could do less than the bare minimum but not a lot of enthusiasm from that part of your business. 2. I waited around a lot. The total time it took to cover what I was looking for, looking and test driving, accepting the offer and signing all the paperwork added together took about 45mins to 1hr. I got to the dealership at around 10:30am and left at almost 3pm. So, I sat around doing nothing for a total of about 3 1/2 hours. I don't shop for cars very often and the length of time it took to get a car at CSAM was no different than other experiences I have had but seems there could be a quicker way of doing things. Again, overall a very good experience and we are very happy with our new car. More
Great service that facilitated the experience I went in to lease a Civic SI and the guy told me right off the bat that it would be $700 a month for that lease. I knew this was a lie seeing that th I went in to lease a Civic SI and the guy told me right off the bat that it would be $700 a month for that lease. I knew this was a lie seeing that there are lease deals online for the SI with offers that allow me to pay for $200 something a month. He was saying there were no incentives or whatever other garbage he told me. Eventually he asked me if I was interested in Accords and I told them the only one I’ve ever glanced at was the Accord Sport so I wouldn’t leave with anything but the Sport. I eventually said sure whatever let’s go with the Accord, already bummed out that they didn’t want to sell me a Civic SI. Another issue I stumbled into is that they didn’t have the Accord sport in white. I REALLY wanted a car in white. I unfortunately settled for a silver Accord Sport. My deal was ok, but I definitely could have gotten a better deal elsewhere. My customer service experience was overall excellent but I was frustrated with them not wanting to help me with what I originally came to lease and they sold me a different car I didn’t want. I got manipulated and I just let myself be convinced that the Accord would be more convenient. Overall, I really like the Accord Sport but I settled for less than what I wanted with a not so stellar deal. They did allow me to test drive the Accord sport and there was a tech guy that explained every button in the Accord right before i left (forgot his name sorry)so o guess that was fine. More
