We had a 3:45 appointment on a Friday afternoon, intending to "just look" at a Lincoln. By 6:00 we were on our way home with a new Lincoln of our choice, thus eliminating a return trip the next day intending to "just look" at a Lincoln. Dave was very helpful in locating a vehicle to fulfill our needs. He was very professional and knowledgeable about the Ford products. After looking for a used Taurus at the Cortese Dodge where i was unable to make a deal I proceeded to the Cortese Ford to look at a Taurus they had. I spoke with Steve and indicated interest in the car where i was unable to make a deal I proceeded to the Cortese Ford to look at a Taurus they had. I spoke with Steve and indicated interest in the car but that they would need to give me $9,000 to $9,500 for my trade as their sister dealership( Cortese Dodge) only offered me $8,500 for it. Steve spoke with his manager and he said" we'll work with you". The car they had was smoked in so it was a no go. A week later, I called to inquire about a different vehicle and asked if it was still inn stock. It was and I said I would be out to look at it ( it is a 4 hour round trip which they were aware of) and I reminded Steve of our previous conversation. After a two hour drive to look at the car, they offered me a maximum of $8,000 and completely wasted my time. As far as I'm oncerned, they just plain LIED to get me back there. I will never do business there. More
