Crain Hyundai of Fayetteville responded

It seems that the issues with the transmission are in part caused by a clamp that was missing around the transmission cooler hose allowing oil to leak. In addition the crank seal was leaking oil. The seal and clamp were replaced. Oil was cleaned as best we could from the underside of the vehicle and the fluids topped off. The vehicle was brought in initially, according to your daughter, for a "transmission seal leak" which turned out not to be the case. We advised your daughter of the issues with the vehicle and serviced it with her authorization to the best of our ability for the issues previously stated. Any smoke from the vehicle would have been residual oil from the clamp and seal leaking oil and the oil smoking as the engine got hot. Your daughter was advised that the vehicle was running rough and may need further attention regarding the transmission. In addition to the transmission issues with the 2011 Genesis Coupe we found during our inspection that the front and back brakes need replaced, the windshield is cracked and needs replaced immediately and the tires are in the "Yellow" on our safety chart and warrant keeping an eye on.
