Rob Hamm is a great great guy. Back in October I was in the middle of starting my own business when my old car suddenly broke down and was totaled. Between the start up expenses for my business and the fact that I need to travel a lot, buying a new car was the last thing on my mind and I was dreading the hassle. Because of what I said above, I was on a very tight budget and had very little time to make a decision. I went to a few other dealerships, told them "This is my price range, this is what I'm looking for, can you do it?" And they'd all yes me to death, take 2 hours of my time, take me for a test drive, only to be hit with hidden fee's and fine print. The other dealers would rather waste my time and try to pull the wool over my eyes than be up front and help me out. My dad ended up running into Rob Hamm at Crown Hyundai and told him what I was looking for and what the price range was. Within hours, Rob not only found what we were looking for, but found a way to make it work and still be under budget. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, and that things were affordable for us. We left with a brand new 2013 Elantra that evening, and it pretty much came right from off the truck. The other dealerships wouldn't even attempt to give me that good of a deal on a used car. Given my situation, he never once took advantage of us at all and actually seemed to have our best interests in mind. He really seems to want to help. In a world where we can complain about how good quality people are hard to come by, and especially how some car dealers can be kind of shady, Rob Hamm is one of the guys that you wish there were more of. The sales person insisted on getting my wife's phone number and since then, someone has been calling her phone non stop from 1866-796-6124. Her phone has been registered on the FCC's no call list. This is a personal phone and is not to be published or given to telemarketing companies. Aside from our "not so great experience" at your dealership, now we have even less desire to ever come back there for a new vehicle purchase. If the phone calls persist I am going to share my negative experience on Facebook and Twitter! About the experience...Came to test drive a 2013 Elantra. My wife has a Nissan Versa SL that has keyless entry and engine start up. She never takes the keys out of her purse. First thing we asked the sales person was about such feature on 2013 Elantra, he said - sure, the limited version has everything...I asked question about standard features and different options within the different models and the sales guy Nick did not know them, instead he suggested we went and looked at the stickers. After we drove the car we found out that 2013 Elantra Limited did not offer keyless entry and start up but you needed your remote control to open the doors. Turned out the Sonata Limited had it so we drove a Sonata to see the difference. Now he started pushing my wife to buy a Sonata, much bigger and more expensive. Well, my wife said no, so he asked me what I wanted. I saw the 2013 Santa Fe and liked it and asked if they had a turbo version. Asked about the price and Nick told me it was the same price as the Sonata 2.0T. Then went to talk to the manager and came back with his keys. We drove the car - very nice, elegant, but used by the sales manager. So then he tried to sell me the managers car, $35 000, and already used. I did not see any Sonata 2.0T within that price range. Not to mention they gave me $1000 for my 2001 Chrysler 300M, 76 000 miles, mint condition. I got mad and decided it was time to go! Went to the Honda dealership up US19, great experience, no pressure. The Lady was very knowledgeable. 2013 Honda Accord EX-L is now my wife's favorite car and as soon as we find a buyer for her Nissan we are buying that Honda Accord. I am still interested in the 2013 Santa Fe 2.0T but I am going to try another dealership and see what kind of experience they are willing to offer! More
