Although I worked with several other Lexus dealers I worked with this dealership most closely and eventually bought a new Lexus 300h from them at a very fair and good price. They were very professional and helpful, especially Sam Kim. They worked patiently with me to get as close to the options I desired as possible and eventually sent to Delaware to get the right color and best options. In addition to Sam, I at times interacted with several other individuals and whether they were a manager or the guy processing my paperwork, they were all very capable, friendly and helpful. More

There was not an ounce of intimidation I felt while he was dealing with me--a first time Lexus driver. He presented the different models and explained the difference. He did not push for me to get any "unecessaries" but focused on my need, which is exemplary for a salesperson because they do need to sell. It's refreshing to deal with someone with a unconventional approach to sales but is quite successful at it. Kudos to Sam! Jeannie Han was also very helpful. Again, she didn't impose and was quite subtle in her sales pitch (for additional service packages), which was great. She took time to explain the packages and pointed out the ones suited for me. She had high spirits even at 7:00 pm on a holiday, and anyone with high spirits at 7:00 pm on a holiday needs a good commendation. So, great job, Jeannie! From personal experience, Lexus Silver Spring team is way better in terms of personal approach and customer satisfaction than the "elite dealer" in another part of Montgomery County. Try waiting for 20 minutes in the showroom for a salesman to help you. There were three of them and me--no one else in the room, but all I got was a glance from all three of them. Should have I put on a suit or something? I'd rather drive farther to give my business to the right people. No regrets. More
Horrible experience I bought my Lexus from this dealership. When my car started to act up, I took it to my usual trusted mechanic who diagnosed and replaced my water pump I bought my Lexus from this dealership. When my car started to act up, I took it to my usual trusted mechanic who diagnosed and replaced my water pump. My car drove well for a couple of months then started to overheat again. The temp sensor would jump from cold to hot and back again. The car overheated again near a reputable auto repair outfit in Columbia, Md and so I had them look at my car. They ran diagnostics and said my water pump was bad (keep in mind this was just replaced 5 months earlier). They quoted a price of 900 to repair it but I returned the car to my trusted mechanic and he ran diagnostics, telling me the cooling system appeared to be working well when he drove it and delivered it to my home again. After a few days the car began to overheat again but this time it broke down near my dealership. I asked if there was any problem with a sensor as my mechanic informed me that he replaced to thermostat just to be sure (the week earlier) at no charge to me. My dealership quoted a price of 1300 and told me the water pump was bad and they recommend also changing the thermostat while during the above repair. Frustrated, I went to pick up my car on a day the dealership was open, to drive it back to my mechanic but no one at the dealership could find my ticket and ended up just giving me my car who collecting the money for running their diagnostics (I offered to pay this amount). To make a long story short, I called my dealership and asked if i could just bring my car in for the repairs but I didn't think replacing the thermostat would be necessary. My concern was still that a sensor or other internal computer problem may be causing my water pump to fail (remember Volkswagen's exhaust scandal) but I was going to go ahead and trust the dealership to fix the problem according their diagnostics - replace the water pump again. I scheduled an appointment but was then I was notified by the dealership that my car was on their "no service list". In essence, I'm not welcome there. I thought this was very immature and unprofessional. I have a right to respectfully offer my concerns when my relatively near Lexus is acting up in a way that is suspect. My mechanic who has taken great car of 5 of my other cars for many years informed me that he pressure checked the cooling system as well as ran the other diagnostics and my car appeared to be working fine while under service. My mechanic said it appeared to be a sensor or other electronic issue rather than a mechanical problem but I should go ahead and have the dealership fix it if they can. DARCARS, this is America and we don't treat customers this way. Recommendation, drive a little further and find another dealership. More
