They also treated me like every customer shopping for a new car should be treated, with RESPECT. Ms. Troia Lyles is an excellent salesperson and I would purchase my next toyota from her again. The manager, Ethan Rosingol is also the reason why I bought my car from DARCARS Silverspring and why I will recommened my friends to buy from there as well. Thanks for everything! More
From the moment we walked in the door Bryan made us feel like VIP's. We felt very much at ease during the entire process and were confident that Bryan had our best interest in mind. He even took the time to like VIP's. We felt very much at ease during the entire process and were confident that Bryan had our best interest in mind. He even took the time to show us all the bells and whistles on our new vehicle instead of hurrying us out the door as we have experienced in the past at other dealers. Bryan couldn't have made the car buying process any easier! More
I was looking for a new 2010 Prius for my wife and was pleasently surprised with the way DARCARS SILVERSPRING TOYOTA treated me. My salesperson, Troia was very accomodating and knowledgeable about the car pleasently surprised with the way DARCARS SILVERSPRING TOYOTA treated me. My salesperson, Troia was very accomodating and knowledgeable about the car and answered all my questions about Hybrids very thoroughly. The General Manager Ethan is more than delightful and is very down to earth. He was very honest and upfront about the deal he could make for me and did it without any pressure. He really goes out of his way to make you feel like a valued customer. In my prior car buying experiences, it is rare to see a GM walk the floor and meet each individual customer personally ensuring them that he/she will walk out of the dealership satisfied and on the road with a new toyota. My experience at DARCARS SILVERSPRING has allowed my to refer 3 of my friends to purchase brand new toyotas and I am sure that I will refer additional customers to them in future. Thank you DARCARS SILVERSPRING for making my experience a memorable one!! More
A few weeks ago, I apprehensively began my search for a new Toyota Highlander SE. After a horrific buying experience with a few local dealers about 3 years ago, I vowed to never to purchase a Toyota in the new Toyota Highlander SE. After a horrific buying experience with a few local dealers about 3 years ago, I vowed to never to purchase a Toyota in the DC Metro area again. I contacted Darcars Toyota of Silver Spring via email and I received a phone call from Brian Thompson. He was prompt, professional and very knowledgeable about the Highlander. I scheduled an appointment with him to test drive the Limited and SE model. Needless to say I purchased the vehicle that day without hesitation, the entire process quick, enjoyable and stress-free. I just want to say Thank you to Ethan Rossignol the GM and the entire Darcars family for restoring my faith in Toyota and in the car buying process. More
If you respect yourself, don't buy from this dealer. I took my car in for the recall. The mechanic wouldn't answer my questions about the work being done, was rude and walked out. Pretty much one of the took my car in for the recall. The mechanic wouldn't answer my questions about the work being done, was rude and walked out. Pretty much one of the worse customer experiences I've had in my life. Believe all the reviews you've read about the service and sales dept. They are in the business of making money. They don't care about after sales service. Very few of the staff are helpful. I've learned the hard way to research companies I give my money too. I work awfully hard for it. I don't want to give it to rude, uncaring, non helping people. Had bad experiences in sales, finance and service dept. Never has been a smooth transaction for me. They make you feel like your bothering them if you need assistance, and are curt so that you'll go away, and they won't have to deal with you. I'd compare it to an unwanted step child. I'd steer as far away from them as possible. More
Visited dealership 2 months ago on my lunch break. I looked a a Prius and Camry Hybrid. The salesman Brian was very helpful and knew the products. He did not put a lot of pressure on me. He did steer me looked a a Prius and Camry Hybrid. The salesman Brian was very helpful and knew the products. He did not put a lot of pressure on me. He did steer me towards the Prius though. I took my time and did a lot of research. I also found a Prius chat forum that was very helpful. I finally bought one from them a few weeks later. I am rating this dealership highly because, before I could call my salesman Brian about the recall he called me... I really thought that was going the extra step. More
On February 2, 2010 we were at your dealer at Darcars in Silver Spring MD at Cherry Hill Road to buy a 2010 Tacoma. We were very disappointed and shocked by the way we were miss treated by your sales staff Silver Spring MD at Cherry Hill Road to buy a 2010 Tacoma. We were very disappointed and shocked by the way we were miss treated by your sales staff and literally thrown out of the dealer ship by Mr. Abdul Kebib. We came to buy a Tacoma on Tuesday after noon around 4pm. We were at Darcar’s all evening trying to process the purchasing deal with the sales staff until 8pm. It was not our first car from Darcars. We came back to Darcars because of the service expectations and commitment we had in our previous business transactions. We had completed the deal and were talking to the financing clerk. In between our interest rate discussion with the financing clerk Mr. Abdul Kebib disagreed and asked us to “leave his dealer ship”. Apparently Mr. Abdul Kebib got frustrated and loss respect because he did not agree with the interest rate therefore he was rude and lost control and got very emotional with the entire process and asked us to leave the premises. In the moment of shock Mr. Abdul Kebib got very upset and said “don’t come back to my dealer and I do not want your business” also continued to threaten asked us to leave the dealer ship and that he would call the Police enforcement for undisclosed reason. We attempted to talk to a manager but Mr. Abdul Kebib latterly touched my back and pushed me out of Darcars. It is very embarrassing and sad to get treated and verbally assaulted in business place when we spent over four hours trying to buy a car from your dealer. I cannot explain how reckoning this is for us and how disappointed and embarrassed we are. What has happened at Darcars was way beyond our expectations. We wanted to inform someone in charge, we were not able to at the time of the incident. More
I bought a used Toyota Camry 2002 from Darcars Toyota of silver spring on August 4th,2009 but had a really bad experience. The car that they sold me had its "check engine light" on. I told the sales manag silver spring on August 4th,2009 but had a really bad experience. The car that they sold me had its "check engine light" on. I told the sales manager that they should get it fixed before I drive it away. He told me to come the next day because it's too late today and the service center is closed, and that they will get it fixed the next day. He said that it is not a big deal, it's a minor problem and they will get it fixed. And I like an idiot believed him. When I went the next day, they asked to come some other day. I went there four time but they never got it fixed. They finally told me that they would not get it fixed. I should either get it fixed by myself (i.e. pay around 1000$ more) or get another expensive car (at least 3000$ more) in exchange. I told them they should get it fixed because they told me so and I wouldn't pay. The manager told me that the company doesn't want to put any more money on this car. And we have just these two solutions. I asked to at least show me another car within my budget. The manager said I will have to pick from what they have and they don't have anything that fits my budget. I am kind of stuck and have wasted two week's on this- with no solution in hand yet. It has been one of the worst experiences of my life and I am not going to Daracrs ever again or even suggesting anyone to go there . I hope I get out of this mess as soon as possible. More
Let's face it ... in a bad economy, any dealer in his/her right mind will do what it takes to make the sale. Period. Just do all your homework first and be ready to show this or any dealer that you're no i right mind will do what it takes to make the sale. Period. Just do all your homework first and be ready to show this or any dealer that you're no idiot. I had read all the bad things about this one but wanted a quick fast deal if they would meet a farther away competitor's price. They did and so I took a chance and did quite well. If you live in the Silver Spring/Montgomery County area and would rather stay close with this dealer, just get the best price from ANOTHER dealer -- preferably in WRITING. Go into Darcars of Silver Spring and state your case -- you expect them to meet this competitor's price or you'll take your business to the other dealer. It's that simple. And doing this the last couple days of the month doesn't hurt either. Shaun is a decent and nice salesman. But bring your "paperwork" to Steve, the GM. More
My husband and I have had two of the worst experiences trying to purchase new cars from this dealership within the past year and I would NEVER EVER RECOMMEND ANYONE buying a vehicle from them. They are di trying to purchase new cars from this dealership within the past year and I would NEVER EVER RECOMMEND ANYONE buying a vehicle from them. They are disrespectful, rude, dishonest and not at all professional. Last fall we intended to purchase a new vehicle over the weekend. We visited the showroom but left outraged and disgusted. Our son is very tall and we needed to measure the seats to make sure that he would be able to fit comfortably. The sales person made many disrespectful and non-humorous comments. It is our understanding that one of the reasons given to take a test drive is to make sure you are comfortable. But not according to this sales person who insisted upon laughing and degrading us. Poking fun at our son with special needs is not a laughing matter. He also explained that "even an idiot could sell a Toyota." We took our business to elsewhere. Just a few weeks ago we decided to give them another try, thinking maybe our first experience was a fluke. We were treated nicely by a new sales person Chris and his manager, Abdul. We told them about our prior experience and they apologized. We made a deposit to purchase a 4 door Yaris hatchback that had to be brought in from another dealership. Upon arrival we came to inspect and everything seemed OK. They put the keys in the sold drawer and we decided to finish the paperwork later. We returned to finish the paperwork at a prearranged time and found that our "SOLD" vehicle had been test driven twice by different parties and even "SOLD" to another party, even though we had put money down on it and we were in the showroom. We were in shock and absolutely outraged that other sales people had continued to sell the car with a BIG SOLD SIGN on the window. It was not an accident since the sales people had to purposefully get the car from a back lot, take the keys out of the sold drawer and let people use it with a big sold sign in the window. It seemed as thought neither Chris or Abdul knew anything about the car being test driven or sold. At first they tried to make a few accommodations. Chris was new and seemed totally shocked at what happened. BUT, the blame rests with upper management - Ethan and Steve. Steve, rather disrespectfully and very business-like, explained that they had someone who would take the car we had made a deposit on immediately [a bird in the hand scenario...]. Then he left. As we tried to grapple with the situation and asked questions of Ethan to see if he could get us a new car or investigate our options, Ethan APPROVED the sale of our car to the other couple. Before we knew it, they drove the car out of the lot. We were shocked. [I have since learned that they have done this before to other customers] We decided to get our money back and not deal with them. That was another fiasco. I had to argue to get my money back and get a receipt for the return of our money. I would never recommend going to this dealer. I explained our outrage to Chris and Ethan and have repeated requested that Steve, the general manager call me but so far he has not. I have tried to contact Tammy Darvish also, but all I got was the customer service person. Tammy has not returned my calls either. I am not sure if it was legal to sell a car that we had a deposit on. However, I am sure that we were not treated respectfully, honestly, or professionally. They are not an honest dealership. Do not give them any business. More
