With DCH, I had far better experience than the other car dealers. The overall car buying procedure with all the dealers was painstaking. This was my first time every buying a car. I have heard so many horror stories about dealerships that do not work with you or worse, care salesmen that are either extremely pressuring or very smooth talkin so many horror stories about dealerships that do not work with you or worse, care salesmen that are either extremely pressuring or very smooth talking, unethical, and just down right greedy. I was originally looking at the Toyota Rav-4, as I was already a Toyota customer. My parents had purchased a Toyota Corolla for me while I was in college becoming a Physician Assistant. I never had a problem with the car or with Toyota. However, last year I graduated, got a job in an Emergency Room, and have now been making my own money for about 1 year and figured its time for my hard work to literally pay off. In order to really emphasize how wonderful my experience was at Honda... I have to tell you about my experience with Toyota. I was there getting my Corolla serviced and went to the showroom to check out the Rav 4. Upon entering, one of the car salesmen saw me, approached me, and asked if he could help me. I was excited; I told him I wanted to check out the Rav 4. Now I do not know if it was the fact that I was a 23 year old girl in a sweatshirt jacket, I don't know if the salesman was tired, or if I didn't directly say I was in the market for a new car. Whatever the reason, the dealer looked at me and said "Oh okay. There's one over there" and pointed to the Rav 4 and left me to see it by myself. I walked over and was looking at the sticker; when the salesman saw this, THEN he approached me and saw an interest in me. Once he knew I was serious about a car, he put so much pressure on me I felt like I couldn't breath. I told him multiple times I would not be buying a car today as I wanted to discuss it with my parents and boyfriend, all of whom have purchased cars and signed contracts, etc. He did not hear that; He wanted me to leave in a car. When I asked about incentives or altering the price, he shut me down right away with no incentives and no possible movement on the price. I left discouraged and thinking that I would not be getting a car any time soon. I called my mother who encouraged me to stop at DCH Academy Honda, where my uncle had gotten a few of his cars and where my parents had looked 5 years ago at the Civic, but purchases the Corolla instead simply based on price. I walked in and from the moment I got there, it was different. I was greeted at the door by a very nice young woman, who paged overhead for a salesman. Joe Koedros walked out with a smile and shook my hand. Told me his job was to put my in a Honda, of my choice, and at a price that works for me. He started out showing me the lowest Trim level of the CR-V, which made me feel like there was no pressure. I informed him that although I was extremely interested, I would not be buying a car without my parents. He told me he understood, but would give all the information I needed to talk to my parents. He also just talked to me about life, what kind of work I did, my family; and he told me about his life and family; felt like he was an uncle of mine. He let me test drive the mid-trim level and the top-trim level CR-V. Before leaving, Lily approached me and gave me more of the information I needed regarding insurance and finances. I left excited. About an hour or so later, Joe called me and gave me some more incentives. He checked in almost once a day to see where I was at and spoke to my mother. He gave me a great deal and made me feel like he wanted to work with me without pressuring me. I could go on and on about how wonderful my experience was. I am extremely happy with my choice to stop at DCH Academy Honda and was more than pleased with Joe as a salesman. I cannot wait until I hear someone say they need a new car, so I can refer them to DCH, especially Joe. More
