Back in 2005, my neighbor received a recommendation to buy a Civic for their son from DCH Academy Honda, specifically from Robert Levine. I went with my neighbor, and I was all ready to start the dreaded buy a Civic for their son from DCH Academy Honda, specifically from Robert Levine. I went with my neighbor, and I was all ready to start the dreaded haggling process. To my surprise, however, we were quoted a more than fair price from the start, so no haggling was really necessary. When it came time to replace my wife’s almost 19 year old Civic with another Honda in April 2013, I remembered the great buying experience I had with my neighbor in 2005 and looked no further than DCH Academy Honda and especially Robert Levine. The buying experience was pleasant and stress free with the right price quoted for the Honda Accord EX we wanted from the get-go. I would definitely recommend DCH Academy Honda and especially Robert Levine. He was very knowledgeable about the whole Accord line, and presented the features, and differences between the trim levels. He answered all of my questions in detail, and demonstrated the features before/during the test drive, and again when we arrived to pick up our new Accord. His pleasant demeanor and good nature made us very comfortable during the entire buying process. More

I usually put getting a new car on par with a visit to the Dentist - but my experience with Mark and Essam was exceptional. Not only did they do everything possible to meet my requirements, but Sam contin the Dentist - but my experience with Mark and Essam was exceptional. Not only did they do everything possible to meet my requirements, but Sam continued to call after the sale was made to follow up on some loose ends relative to the termination of our last lease. His advice was invaluable. I bought my first Honda from this site (although it was known as Briggs at the time) 32 years ago. We went away from Honda's for a while but came back to them about a dozen years ago. We did business with another dealer and it was not fun. Based upon the experience we had this time, I kick myself for not coming back to Academy sooner. I highly recommend Academy - particularly Sam and Mark. More

I searched four different dealers and drove four different SUVs. When Steve Chung, at DCH Academy Honda, and I first sat down to discuss the Honda Pilot, I felt confident that Steve was giving m different SUVs. When Steve Chung, at DCH Academy Honda, and I first sat down to discuss the Honda Pilot, I felt confident that Steve was giving me truthful answers and was addressing my personal concerns. We test drove the SUV Pilot on TWO separate occasions on two separate days. Mr. Chung did everything he could in a professional, kind, and business like manner. I have already recommended a friend to Steve Chung at DCH Academy Honda. Hopefully he contacts Steve. Totally professional and personable. Thank you Mr. A. BIANCO More
I was in the market for a new value mid-size sedan, after getting tired of driving a compact SUV (2007 Rav4) for many years (due to poor performance and handling, compact SUV's suck! I also used to be a Toyo getting tired of driving a compact SUV (2007 Rav4) for many years (due to poor performance and handling, compact SUV's suck! I also used to be a Toyota fan mainly due to their reliability, but they seem to be slipping now). After loads of online research, narrowed down my choice to equally well-rated 2013 Fusion SE 2.5L and 2013 Accord EX. I was initially heads over heals for the looks of the new Fusion, outside and inside. It's a head-turner on the road, and the interior technology and finishing are way ahead of its time.. too cool. Test drove the car, wasn't pleased with the performance or handling. I didn't want the EcoBoost (turbo) options due to potential mechanical issues reported online. Also, I am uncertain of Ford's overall reliability. Another thing that didn't help was that each car within the same model comes with different options, which made it difficult to find the exact features and color I wanted. Last but not least, I had the worst dealership experience ever at the Ford dealership in Old Bridge, NJ. Sales person was extremely rude, short tempered, uninformed and unprofessional. Made sure I complained to the manager before I left.. I was initially not attracted to the Accord, seemed comparatively boring, outside and inside (never owned or driven one before, just know it's a common car and has great value). But the test drive changed my mind. The minute I stepped on the gas, fell in love with the smooth performance and handling. The reviews are right, Honda knows how make a good car. Choosing a model and trim is simple, all features come standard per model! General Honda dealership experience was mixed, timing is a big factor. Had to go through multiple Honda dealerships to find a good one. Something to note about Honda is that their cars sell themselves and they know it. Which presents a frequent problem - most Honda sales staff is professional but arrogant. They'll usually limit the haggle and offer one final (and not so low) out-the-door price. If the customer takes it great, if not the next one will. I tried my luck going to multiple Honda dealerships till I ended up at DCH Academy Honda in Old Bridge, NJ. The whole experience was surprisingly positive. The whole staff was extremely friendly and professional. Mike Serra, Luis Torres, Joseph Koedros, and Lily Li - great guys. Even the negotiation/haggle part wasn't that bad. And I got a really good price (the best part :). They made the buying process and paperwork really efficient. They do try to sell you the usual additional services but that too being professional and not over-assertive. They pay a lot of attention to detail to ensure customers have the best experience at their dealership. That is how car buying should be! And I did regain some faith in car salesmen and dealerships. I am definitely a Honda fan now and will consider DCH as my first choice for my next car purchase. As a matter of fact, while I was sitting at the dealership, I was already making plans with my wife for our next car purchase.. A few things to note including some car buying tips and tricks: - All dealerships are different and all salesmen are different (even if it's the same make). If you're not having a good experience, ask for someone else or go elsewhere. It's your money being spent and you shouldn't feel pressured or deserve a negative experience. It's worth spending extra hours or days, and driving extra miles if you're spending thousands of $. - Do plenty of online research, read car reviews, ratings, comparisons. Use websites like TrueCar.com to get best price quotes and reduce the need to haggle at the dealer. - Call the dealer before you go to make sure they have the car you want and will value your price quote or beat a competitor's price. When you walk in, ask for the internet sales department. These guys are focused on volume as opposed to profits and will give you a competitive price. - Timing is key. Most dealerships will reduce their profits at the end of the week, month or year to meet their quotas. You might be able to haggle a lower price for the car. - Control the price negotiation/haggle process one step at a time. Seal the out-the-door total price first, then talk about trade-ins separately, then talk about financing. - Research and get preapproved for a bank auto loan before you walk in. This may simplify the negotiation and financing steps in your favor. Unless the dealer has special low financing available, their interest rates are usually higher than bank auto loans. Good luck! I'm off to enjoying my new blue Honda Accord EX from DCH Academy Honda, Old Bridge, NJ. Awesome guys :) More
